Interior Console-First Mod

First mod ever.
Replaced the gear shift knob with OEM TRD leather with red stitching.

Also replaced the gear shift track, gear shift trim, and cup holder trim with ABS material in red from AJT design.

Install was slow. OEM is secured via clips and plastic welds. Replacements are secured with allen bolts, locking washers and a nut. A dremel tool is highly recommended for removal and placing pilot holes. The how to's say use a 1/4" drill bit.

Definitely gonna continue the red on black in the coming weeks with more mods of this type.

I really took my time. I did it in 1.5 hours. Stopping to watch videos and being careful.

 

Looks good. I have all red and black in my Tacoma and I love it

Guy on Tacoma World makes them. I'm sure he could do Tundra's but he doesn't have one to test fit.

Very happy with my AJT stuff..
I put some black shrink wrap on the shifter post to cover that chrome...
The vent covers are a Godsend to get rid of the sun reflecting off of them..

Nice Low! Do you have any problem with the condensation from the AC on the vent covers?

I live in high humidity Arkansas. I am concerned if the adhesive will hold up.

Got it a few years ago. Don’t see he has red anymore but has black. That was my second one from him. My first was a TRD one

 

I never noticed any.
They come with adhesive tape.
Just clean your chrome vent rings before installing and you should be good.
