I just bought a 2012 Tundra today. I got home and the alarm is not activated. I am going to take it back to the dealership and try to get the alarm activated and maybe the door chimes shut off, and maybe more. Anyway I would like to print out what they need to do with their Techstream program, when I take it in. Most of the service writers will not know what I am talking about. A few years back, I had the program on my computer, but its gone with the windows 7computer. I hope someone has the step by step instructions....thanks

There is a tab in the Techstream that gives them the ability to turn it on. I did it with the program on my 2013. Its been a while but I can't remember if the tab was labeled "security" or not. The dealer will not turn off certain things such as the seat belt chime.

I am curious about this as well. I want to disable the feature that deactivates the ability to use a key fob or key to unlock from outside the truck when there is a key in the ignition or the truck is running. I HATE this feature, and it seems like an accidental lock out waiting to happen. Also, the door handles setting off the alarm if I lock it with the fob and it is opened from inside the truck. Wife was chilling in the truck when I went into the store the other day with my keys, she set the alarm off getting out to check on the kids in the back seat. Needless to say she was pissed... It seems like a terrible system. Is this a setting in the security drop down as well, or would it be in the smart key/ access drop down menu?
