Well right on the product page it says they are necessary for lifts really over 3”…

@Coachbuilder1 do I need bump stop extensions if I do 1.5” of lift on the drivers side and 1” on the passenger?

That would be a .5” and a .25” shim on the drivers side, and just a .5” shim on the passenger side.

Don't stack that much - for one, you shouldn't need the extra shim to correct the "lean" but measure your hub-to-fender on the corners just to check. But you'll run out of threads on the coilover hat with more than the .5" of shims. You can add a few 3/8 fender washers to address the bumpstop issues. You don't need the big ones.

I would have 2 shims on one side, and one shim on the other. That’s too much?

I measured last night and I actually have about 3/8” lean, which surprised me. Measured from center of the wheel to fender.

You only have enough room for .5" total, so one .5" shim (1" lift) or 2 .25" shims (.5" lift each). You're maxed at 1" of shim lift with stock top hats.

    I have 2 .25" shims (.5" lift each) for 1" total lift.

I sure will! Going to take a couple of months because I’m waiting for my stock tires to wear out but I’ll be sure to post some pictures when it’s done!

Ahh. I see. Thanks so much for explaining it! I don’t really give a rats ass about the lean - didn’t notice it before I measured. 1” on each side will be fine.

You think I’ll be alright without bump stop extensions since it’s only an inch, or is it better to put them on?

I'd say throw like 3 fender washers on each bump stop just to be safe. If you're not planning on off roading much it shouldn't be an issue, but extending the stops will help you keep your shocks from getting crushed if you get in a bad situation.

CB extensions would be better? I don’t mind just paying the $40 or whatever it is for the extensions.

Those extensions are overkill and would probably do more harm than good in your case. They are meant for 3-4” spacers, so you wouldn’t want to stick a 1” bump stop extension in when you're only lifting an inch. Think of it as close to a 1:4 ratio of bump stop extension to spacer lift.

I agree I bought those CB bumpstop spacers as well for my 2" spacer kit and had no up travel left. I took them off before even trying to drive with them

So you just installed the spacers and nothing else? I go off-road sometimes but no rock crawling or anything crazy. When I’m off-road I’m usually towing a camper lol.

@CCLJ03 looks great! How are those tires working out? Look mean, but a guy I work with has em and says they’re still really quiet for such an aggressive tread, I’m skeptical though once they get some miles on them.

I hear ya on busy! Haven’t even been able to wash the truck in a couple months. Seems like every time I have a chance, weather is shit.

    looking forward to the update!

    @Eborseti22

They have been absolutely flawless off-road. I was really rough in them during elk season in September. They never even flinched!

However… they are pretty loud. Not as loud as other tires as aggressive as they are (they’re more aggressive than some mud tires) but they are much louder than a standard all terrain. The shop also had to put a ton of weights on to balance them, and there is still a decent shimmy between 40mph and 65mph.

I still love them though. I just know they are tough as shit and I’m not getting stuck.
