Tundra Storage solution

Well damn, I thought the post was going to be a tutorial about how to increase my garage door height with simple magic!

 

Just an opinion, but it looks like a bad day waiting to happen. A bag hanging in plain sight right behind the glass looks attractive to an addict. I would not be parking next to a spot landscaped with river rock.

 

nothing some good tint wont help.

 

2003 my wife had a dark tinted window smashed over a medium cd case in her place of employment parking lot during daylight.

Do you have seat covers as well?

 

They do have them BTW. Some allow you to attach an AR....

Any particular reason they say not for sunroof models? Aren't almost all crewmax models also sunroof?

Most CM's don't have the pain in the ass sun/moon roofs. For good reason. BTW, how could you mount molle mounts onto your headliner with a hole in the center of your cab top??? Always hated sun/moon "roofs". The open/close motors always fail eventually and the drain holes get clogged and pee on your headliner or get stuck open at the worst time.......just sayin

 

My sunroof doesn't go past the cabin light. I have the same area between the rear handles as non sunroof models.

 

You're in AZ. Not much rain going on so the sun "roof" is prolly ok and you might be able to mount some molle panels.

 

Agreed. In my 97 Taco, when used, it always seemed to allow sunlight to enter at the most annoying angles. Sun even gets behind the sunglasses to glare back into my eyes. Even street lights can be annoying while night driving.

I hide in my truck during lightning storms and have always thought the sunroof would diminish lightning protection. Not sure if it actually does.

Top of the list when purchasing the new 2021 Tundy was, no glass on the roof.



The roof storage seems cool.

 

My first car was a 1985 Toyota Corolla hatchback, it has a moon roof. I drove that car until 2002 and the motor ran as good as the day my mom bought the car new, and never leaked a drop. I think people have one bad experience, or just hear of someone having a bad experience and hate on that feature for that reason alone. Reminds me of my neighbors dad when I was growing up. He was a mechanic, and was always working on cars - and absolutely refused to ever get a car with power windows because "That's just one more thing to break, I can guarantee my arms will always work to crank the window up or down, but that motor will go out eventually and I'll have to get it fixed.". Like a year later he laid down his bike trying to stop at train tracks, and slid under the wheels losing an arm. His guarantee was no longer good.
