well since toyota discontinued the LC for NA markets, have you looked at the new 3.5L engine in the new 300 series LC?

    another quote from a comment...

wonder if that will carry over to the new 3rd gen tundra?

    LC 300 series front.jpg

the grille center piece looks like it was stolen from a tundra

That spanks Fords 3.5L by about 20 HP and 20 torque. That would be ideal for a 1/2 ton towing rig. Make it light and free up some payload!

it still may, they are currently doing a study, the original plan is axe LC300 and only offer LX570 and LX600H, but Toyota sees how much money GM is making with Tahoe At4 and Yukon Denali, they may change their mind, the LX is meant to be bit longer than LC300, so this may slot nicely.

Every time I see a LC I just think of the videos from the middle east of them just riding down the highway either on 2 wheels or skating on the door lol

Gimme…Toyota needs to release in the US right now so I can trade my paid-off-but-worth-MSRP Tundra on a new LC and then only have a “normal” loan.

    I'm totally OK with that

Mmmmm yummy! A bit of a 'stormtrooper' look in white but not bad.

I hope not. Every lexus design has a face only a mother can love. They'll put that ugly "Bow Tie" scowl on it.

Speaking of longer 3-row SUVs, a Suburban-length Sequoia with the TTv6 would be incredible.

In the current Land Cruiser and Sequioa, the cargo room is nearly gone when the 3rd row is in use.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I believe we have our first glimpse at the top-tier engine that will be available for the 2022 Tundra. I'm still betting the Lexus 5.0 V8 will be offered as the base engine and I am perfectly fine with that.

You might be able to get away with doing that if you live in a state that doesn’t require emissions testing. I highly doubt that’d work here in CA

I would think it conforms to bumper and safety (I would like to think that Toyota wouldn’t close themselves out of a market so easily). Emissions would be the tough one, though. Again, just speculating here. Someone else most likely has a lot more knowledge on the topic. If possible, it wouldn’t be easy

Pretty much, I think. David Chao has stated the next gen Seq will be very much like the LC300 and that's why the LC300 won't be offered in North America.

Toyota wants to ramp up Sequoia production having moved production from Indiana to Texas using the same TNGA-F platform as the LC300/Tundra. I guess the object is to combine the demographic for Land Cruisers and Sequoia, get a larger share of the jumbo SUV market. And the new Sequoia won't be ridiculously priced like the LC200.
