Well I purchased a 2019 Starcraft camper from a local place here and we got what we wanted but on our our first trip to the lake this past weekend i caught something things that were not right

The spare tire has a nail right in the middle of the tread, no big deal.

Switching regulator failed on me after I set the fridge to run on propane until we got to the campsite.

Most irritating is the AC. It barely cooled the first night and didn’t hold up at all the other 4 days.

Can anyone point me in the right direction as to how I can get this Hvac fixed? The dealership says it not under warranty because it’s used so they want to wash their hands of it.

How long have you had it? Its only a few years old, I would pressure them into fixing the problems if it were mine.

That is complete B.S. about the AC and really all of your troubles to me?

Why buy from a Stealership at all unless they offer something more than a private seller aside from more money needed to drive the thing down the road?
They are supposedly checking them out before reselling them and taking care to make sure this does not happen on your maiden voyage arent they?

    Just how used is it?

You're probably SOL if you signed papers and they said "No Warranty." It was on you to test everything thoroughly, caveat emptor and all that.

So what are you asking us? Try to push for the original dealer to fix the AC IMO. Personally I'd go with a different dealer.

Since I like to DIY when possible the first thing I do is join the appropriate forum for the trailer. There is tons of info online. You might be able to top off the coolant in the AC yourself. (Then again, those AC cans from autozone, I overfilled my Tundra once and had to take it to a real shop anyway...)

I agree with this pretty much except that nothing on this camper is really unique to this camper either.
So all of the bits that make a camper are the same exact cheap crap in everyones camper so dont limit the advice you might need to just this brand or model as they are all made of the same stuff.

Travel further North and open the windows, then you can find all the stripped window cranks. Factory built travel trailers are junk! Find another sucker ASAP, and build your own.

Yea I guess I’m out an ac. I figured with it being a 2019 model I wouldn’t have had cooling issues, especially on my first trip.

is there a forum on here or do you mean just in general?

    thanks for your help guys.

Just a general forum, many trailer models have a forum. Sorry, but sometimes the school of hard knocks is the best way to learn.

Years ago I bought an "As is" suburban, and inside of a month the transmission went out. I did not have a leg to stand on but I met with the folks at the dealership and expressed that I understood that they did not have to do anything to assist at all. My argument with them was that there are two stories available to tell.
One: A good story where I can share a story about the dealership that helped out and made a fair offer to making something bad into something good.
Two: A story of the dealership who sells iffy vehicles and hopes that no one will circle back to them on issues that most likely were known.

In the end they offered me a transmission installed at cost, and I was able to confirm, and I did share the story. The dealership owed me nothing but we were able to come to a fair resolution. It would only take your story on some social media platform to dissuade one customer from their lot to offset future losses. It would seem to me that they would most likely want to make a reasonable offer towards a fair resolution. It may mean that you need to ask for the offer. Ask if they will meet 1/2 way or something. If not post and tag them till you feel like you got the value of the AC out of them.

Yep, I have threatened many individuals, businesses, and institutions with various means of evening the score if they likely knew they were wrong. Sometimes press involvement, sometimes social media, sometimes legal lawsuits, sometimes my old wheelchair bound Italian uncle with nothing to lose who just happens to enjoy blood splatter and won't live long enough to see a trial! Capiche? Sometimes being firm and explaining your options has ways of persuading others to do what is right.
