SR5 with a bench seat! It's a blessing & a curse. Nice little hideaway for your CCW in the middle though.;)

I love the versatility of my bench seat. It’s come in handy a quite a few times. I don’t necessarily like someone riding bitch, but if it needs to happen, I’m glad it’s there. Reminds me of my single cabs I’ve owned with bench seats. Move your knee, I need to shift 4th lmao.

I just figured with four kids, one of them has to be out of the car seat right now. Or at least in just a booster. No airbag on the center seat so this should be OK.

No, they wouldn't. They actually reduce the payload even further. If towing, a WDH is the only thing that truly helps.
(Oh if you want to reduce 'squat' then sure add the bags... but you're not helping payload)

Honestly, you need to think about the transmission cooler before pulling that.

It is what it is. You can't increase it.

It's like lowering your age or making yourself taller. It can't be done.

    Smaller trailer is your answer.

Wow, Airstreams are heavy! What kind of light weight mods are you talking about? Saw a tundra pulling one at the campground this weekend & his back bumper was about scraping the pavement!

Yeah, one is in a booster & up front with me & the wife. The other three take a back seat. There's even enough room for the dog to lay down by the three in the back.

So my trailer is about 6k dry, 7k wet (measured) - and we probably run it at 6.5k most of the time since I only carry 20% water. That 2nd AC reduces the advertised tongue weight slightly and I do my best to pack our crap toward the back. It tows very well.

My Tundra mods: Bilstein shocks, E tires, rear sway bar, blue Sumo springs with top donut removed, CB rear shackles. WDH is an absolute requirement, no squat or scraping when it's properly set up. (Oh and of course one of Nick's transmission cooler kits)

I wouldn't pull anything bigger with the Tundra though (I'm maxed out on paper), but a lot of people do. Camped next to a Tundra owner with a 33ft trailer.

Ya, I am gonna be ordering a hyperlyte 25RBHL. It’s a 30’ trailer but wife and I are looking to do travel nursing and travel X-ray for a couple years. So we want something larger we could live out of comfortably. The numbers I filled out are on the high end. So I know even at high end I’m good. I won’t be traveling with more than 20 gallons of water and luckily we will be working and scrubs don’t weight much. We pack light. I appreciate the write up. I was considering the sway bar. Not sure if I want TRD or hellwig. To many damn choices.

The sway bar is excellent! I went with the TRD because of the price, can’t go wrong with either of them.

I put 3k in the bed last week and nothing happened.

Just ignore the sticker and get air bags.

Thats pretty impressive towing for gas, my 2018 Cummins is 2380 payload and 17680 towing, which compared to my crew max tundra is a big increase haha

I've noticed the 6.4 hemi has been very popular in comparison to the Cummins in the small town i'm from in PA when I was visiting. People must be sick of the new diesel emissions crap

I would love a bigger truck however at this point not needed. If I decide to stay travel X-ray and nursing for awhile that might be an option but until then tundra won’t let me down.

You are spot on with the emissions. You had better really need it in your 3/4 or 1 ton over a gasser. 100k miles and the issues start. Road going diesels don’t have the reliability that they once did. And this is coming from someone who thinks that a Diesel engine is far superior to a gas engine.

Can't remember what my tires are exactly but I know they're Michelin & I have a sway bar to go with my WDH despite many people mentioning how they don't need it. I think I'll be good for now as long as I just stick to the rivers & streams that I'm used to but you've peaked my interest in mods.

That's awesome. Kinda wish I did travel x-ray when I had the chance but I was having too much fun with my friends on my dads ski boat.
