Trying to decide between 1.5 shackles or Icon AAL. Seems like most go for shackles. Why? I also see where some have used both. I’ve got Eibach stage II. Need to get the rear straight. I like the rake the truck has and want to stay as close to that as possible. If you used both would it mean 1.5 for AAL plus what the shackles raise the bed? Thanks

If you don’t run a pretty constant load the AAL will not ride well unloaded.
Just do the Coachbuilder shackle height of your choice.

I did both the Icon mini pack and the coachbuilder +2 shackles. That gave an overall lift of about 2". You can start with the AAL and if that is not high enough, then you can add a shackle. That's what I ended up doing.

So it’s not really 1.5” plus what the +2CB is then. Right?

The Icon mini pack only lifted the rear 1/2". I don't know how much the Icon AAL lifts the rear. The +2 coachbuilder shackles added about 1.5".

If you're not needing to increase weight capacity then it wouldn't be necessary to use the AAL. Our +3"s Provide 1.75" of total lift and should have plenty of rear rake with your Eibach's.

    Nice setup !

Nice looking rig! Mine is white too. What size tires and rims are those? I want to stick with factory 18" as I like a little chrome.

The Eibachs can accommodate 1.5” of rear lift. So technically the +3s won’t work but I don’t see .25” making a huge difference but to be safe the +2s are a good option.

I have Falcons on a level setting and Coachbuilder +1s and the stance is just right in my opinion a noticeable rake but not a ton.

@Coachbuilder1 can the shackles negatively affect the ride, payload or towing capabilities at all?
