2011 SR5 Tundra (Silver Sky Metallic)
    Hello Everyone,

I have been lurking for a few weeks in anticipation of buying my dads Tundra (affectionately known as "The Slurp" due to the amount of fuel these 5.7L drink). My dad is upgrading his 2011 silver SR5 to a 2021 white SR5. He bought it used in 2012 with 18,000 miles on the clock and it recently ticked over 140,000 miles without any issues.

I could not let his old faithful leave the family, so I will be the new owner once the 2021 arrives at the dealership this week. There have been many memories with the truck and I have a growing need for a pickup, so the opportunity seems perfect. I have lived, eaten many meals, taken many trips to my family cabin and traveled all over the lower 48 in this truck. She holds a special place in my heart.

The pictures are from a 7,500 mile road trip that my girlfriend (now wife) and I took immediately after college. We visited 11 national parks and spent nearly 2 months on the road (27 nights were spent in the rooftop tent).

I have plenty of plans for the truck, but don't anticipate creating a build thread. Looking to keep it OEM+, nothing crazy over the top, so I don't want to bore anyone with little trinkets. Some LED headlights, de-chroming, wheels/tires, small upgrades are on the wish list.

Cheers, thank you for letting me join the club!

Thank you everyone, I appreciate the warm welcome! What I don't appreciate is all of the cool trucks that make me want to spend my money:rofl:

You sunk your hatchet into a public picnic table, not very considerate.

Welcome. My first Tundra was a 2011. Still have it and love it. It’s certainly way faster than my other two.

The table was in need of a lot of love before I showed up, I certainly didn't ruin it or degrade its useful life. Anyone that I camp/travel with will tell you that I leave campsites in the same, if not better condition than when I showed up.
