I have a 2003 tundra limited 4.7 Liter. After filling the truck up with gas yesterday, I had a cylinder 2 misfire code, I switch the coil from 2 and 4 and the misfire stayed on 2. Today I have a cylinder 2 and 5 misfire code. The truck is running extremely rough to the point it will stall out. About a year ago I had a valve job done on 2,4,6 and 8 head along with new plugs. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I will do a compression test tomorrow. I did do a seafoam treatment but it's not really driveable at this point.

Trouble started after filling with gas? Like immediately after? I'd start there...

This problem seems eerily familiar to another members I was reading. Can’t recall exactly what the fix was but it was something simple like cleaning the throttle body or changing spark plugs. It was one of those long timeline threads where guesses were made and the person didn’t do anything and then one day they did something simple. I’ll keep trying to remember.

New info. I have no compression on cylinder #2. The coil on #5 has a hairline crack down the side so I assume that's what is causing misfire #2. How can I check if it's a valve issue? I took the valve cover off and there are 2 shafts. See photo.

My #5 Coil went out on me about 6 years ago and I was able to limp home. Only time she let me down ever. Shop put in 8 new spark plugs and a new coil on #5 and was good to go.

Gonna be tricky with manifolds on, but set the engine to #2 btdc and blow compressed air into the spark plug hole, and see if its leaking I or E. Or crankcase.
