Nice yea JBA have pritty good bushing not the best tho, ima swap there bushings out with the siberian for better reliability, hands down best bushings u can buy for vehicles 3 year warranty

 

Are these as adjustable as the SPC arms? Seems they are designed for an application. But the link to the instructions is broken…

 

No they are not adjustable they are pre set for 2 - 4 inch lifts, better then SPC

 

Unless you have an alignment guy who understands how to utilize the "adjustments" on your SPC UCA's it seems over kill. The JBA's will get us to that 3+ degrees of caster our trucks do best with on lifts up to 4"

 

Can the alignment be adjusted to avoid the need for a CMC. 35x12.5r20 on stock wheels with 1.25” spacers?

 

I hear it can be but i have not witnessed it myself. Current setup has my alignment specs at +2.7/+2.8 on my caster..

 

Had JBA's put on this week, and everything aligned to where you would like to be:
Camber -0.3
Caster 3.3
Toe .10

I'm running 35x12.50/17 with 1.25 spacer with no rub on the cab mount.

I’m running them with icon 17” wheels with 35s. Got the alignment spot on. No more wandering and it feels like the ride has improved.

Just like to add to this thread. Bought some used JBAs off Facebook. Was missing one bushing washer.
Emailed the company and despite not originally buying from them they sent me an entire washer kit free of charge. They said “you’re a JBA owner now, don’t worry about it.”
Just so you guys knows what kinda company they are. Can’t wait to get them on and some miles in and report back. Also if you guys need any bushing washers I got 7 extra.

I just replaced my front and rear suspension. New rack and pinion, UCA, wheel bearings, went with front and rear rough country vertex coil overs with reservoir. I have a 6" lift with 26" wheels and I could not be more happy with my zone offroad UCA. They are extremely sturdy, heavy duty and twice the size of the factory UCA.

 

JBA is all we run on all the rigs down here. Their customer service is amazing.

 

Update on the JBA install; about 1k miles

Installed with OME BP-51s and the alignment was easily brought into spec. Drives very nicely, no complaints. Did some light off-roading in north GA. They held up great and made no noise. Very pleased so far.

 

Anyone install these themselves? Thinking of replacing my UCA’s with these. Think I can handle it myself. Would appreciate any tips for getting the bolts out. I know move the battery and a few wire harness clips to clear the bolts.

 

I just did this not too long ago. I didn’t have to move the battery on the driver’s side. In fact, the driver’s side was pretty easy. I did remove the inner fender well lining to access the control arm nut and bolt. Once removed, I had to remove the bolts holding the wiring and brake lines in order to move those out of the way. It helps to have both long and short sockets along with different socket extensions. That nut was on super tight. I needed copiuos amounts of penetrating lubricant and a long breaker bar to break it free on both sides.

Unlike most of the other posts I’ve read on here from others who’ve done UCAs, the hardest part for me was the passenger side. Mine had several thick wiring harnesses and some kind of hose in the way. I loosened whatever clips and bolts that held the wiring harnesses and tried to move them out of the way as best I could, but they were still in the way and made the whole thing difficult. After using several different sized sockets (long vs short) and lots of loud cursing and choice swear words in both English and Spanish, I was finally able to remove the long bolt and reinstall it. Also aligning the new JBA UCA so that the long bolt would go through both ends was a bit difficult on that passenger side as well. Driver side was easy peazy, though.

Also, I saw one or two posts from others who noticed the nut loosened after UCA installation, despite torqueing to spec. I used loctite on the threads to hopefully prevent that from happening, just don’t remember if it was red or blue loctite. So far so good after a couple months.

Once installed, get a decent grease gun and good grease and squirt the grease into the grease nipples. It helps to raise the front end a bit to move the UCAs down a bit to better access the top grease nipples.

Anyway, definitely doable on your own. There are a few youtube videos I saw that also helped. Just take your time and good luck!

 

Thanks for the info. Got them on! I actually had more trouble with the driver side. My bolt kept maxing out hitting the front of the engine bay. Used blue loc like they recommend. Also used a nylock nut instead of the factory one.

 

Anyone with JBA’s notice the grease doesn’t come out evenly on their bushings? It comes out way more on one side and only a little bit on the other. Does this for each zerk. . JBA said sometimes the tube on the truck is uneven and needs to be filed down. Don’t really want to do that as I JUST got them on. I’m hoping they are getting enough grease on all the bushings.

 

Ever get anywhere further with this concern? Maybe a non-issue if it's coming out both sides albeit a little uneven. The JBA's look like great UCA options, good thread.

 

I thought SPCs were made in China?

 

One of their techs said to make it completely even I’d need to sand/file down the frame mounting point….I’m not going to do that. Another said to loosen the through bolt and get the grease out and retighten. He said that should be enough from here on out. I did that and it worked. However, I know when I go to grease again it will not flow out of the outside ports. My solution is to loosen the bolt maybe once a year to get the grease really flowing on the blocked sides. Otherwise, grease normally each oil change. I bought extra lock nuts to do this process. Other than that, they are great. Install wasn’t terrible. They have great customer service.
