Will I need UCAs and a diff drop?

    Hey all,
I know there are several threads that address similar issues but I wanted to ask something specific to mine so thanks in advance for reading. I have a 2021 Tundra SR5 TRD OR that is all stock at this point. I am adding a GFC next week (driving to Bozeman on Friday!) and am going to do leaf springs over summer once I have the camper on the truck. Anyhow, I was planning on doing 5100's on the front (2.3" setting) to give a slight lift and then running a 17" Method 703 (no offset) with a set of BFG K02s at 285/75/17. That's it. From what I had read/researched, no need for UCAs or diff drop because I wasnt changing much. Again, I am keeping the back stock until I have a good gauge of how many lbs will be in the rear once the camper is on.

All that being said, I went to my mechanic who I really trust yesterday and he essentially shot my idea of front susp/lift down saying that I would need UCA's, diff drop etc because I was changing so much of the built engineering. I get that Toyota has everything dialed and that factory is best for their engineering but am I changing that much? Do I need to do UCAs and diff drop etc? Any thoughts? I was ready to have him start doing the work but he kinda shot my idea out of the air. It was pretty awkward actually. Thanks for the help in advance.

I'm no expert, but in all my research when I had my 6112s installed, UCA replacement doesn't become an issue unless you lift over 3".
I got 2.5" with my setting on the 6112s and have no alignment problems...

No need for UCA for 2 inches lift. The Pro models are 2 inches higher in the front from the factory and use the same UCAs as the other trims/models. Once you get into 2.5 to 3 inch lift range you can benefit from UCA. If it worries you just get the UCAs and install them at the same time,

UCAs are not necessary. Post photos with the GFC on! I pick mine up next Friday!

285/75/18 will not fit(without a BMC) with this combination. At least it didn't for me. Im running an eibach 3/1 with 18x9 +20 offset. Taking it in for a BMC this next weekend.

they should fit no problem. whoever did your alignment didn't add enough caster. I clear 35s on 18x9 25 offset with Bilstein 5100 up front. I would see if you can get the alignment adjusted before cutting the frame.

Man..I don’t see how.. my caster is right at 2.8 on both sides. That’s maxed out from what I was told, they couldn’t go any farther.

My lift is set at 2.75" with 1.5" shackles out back. I added the diff drop and did add Zone UCA's. Alignment came out well. My caster on both sides are 2.9. Overall geometry looks quite good actually. I do have a rake unloaded which is what I want. I like to sit level and not nose high with all my camping gear, etc loaded in the bed.

Its been a while sense I did my alignment but I think I'm pretty close to that and I'm pretty sure that's max at that height with stock arms. I did push the front inner fender liner forward and I barley touch the rear mud flap. nowhere near the body mount. I did the same setup on a truck with 35x12.50 on 17x8.5 with 0 offset, he hits the rear mud flap but clears the body mount. now I'm really curious why yours doesn't clear with a narrower tire.
