Had a situation today with my head unit/navi... Kept turning on and off on its own. Stopped into dealership... They said it just needed to be updated. They tried to update and it wouldn't take it. Bottom line, Robert gets a new head unit. :bananadance:

Toyota price if I would've had to pay... $3923

Finally got a "refurbished" head unit. Only took me 4 trips to dealership. The first replacement was worse than the defective original unit. Then a wasted trip because they thought they had it in stock. I did get a free tank of gas for lack of clarity. Not really happy with a refurbished unit, but that's all Toyota will do.

Got some parts back from powder coating. They sure are shiney.

LOL, I wanted to do all pics at one time. I touched up center rings screws, so will put those on in the morning.

The finish is amazing, but it isn't an exact match which I'm a little bummed about. It was difficult to pick out of all the oranges. Inferno changes color in every light.

The one on the hitch looks redder than the front hooks. That proves your point. Depends on light. Isn't that was color is ? A reflection of light ? I think that orange looks pretty bad ass !

When I tried to color match with a swatch, I couldn't do it in the light. As I walked around the truck it constantly changed to a different swatch, lol. I decided by popping the hood and matching without clear on it. It could be the clear coat just making it pop so much? I'm sure the heat and AZ sun will change that soon enough.

Maybe the heat was getting to you ? :boink: It's all good Robert. I do the same thing. Every time I do a mod, I second guess myself, then someone gives me a compliment, and I'm good til I second guess myself again. That's what makes this such a fun hobby. No one gets hurt except maybe the bank account. :mudding:

Well... :anonymous: it's not that I really want to, just testing the waters. I've been trying to buy or build a home and the only obsticle is my truck payment is eating up too much of my little, disposable income. If I don't get any takers, then I guess it's meant for me to keep.

Totally understand. I was cruising CL to get ready to sell my stock headers and cat-back and stumbled across it. Precision Toyota down in Tucson recently sold a '15 CM black one for a little more than what you are asking so I'm rootin for ya!

As hard as it is for me to say...........you can always build another truck. Vehicles come and go, you only purchase a home once or twice in your lifetime. Sounds like the priority bug bit ya Robert. The market is very strong and people are getting top dollar for properties, but interest rates are still great and that in itself makes it a good time to buy. Go with your gut. Good luck no matter which road you take.

I totally agree with that. You learn things from each build that you may or may not do again. I'm forever a Tundra Guy though, whatever happens.

IMG_20180305_144709_482.jpg 4661.jpg 20180817_155932.jpg Yesss, I sold it. Was a sad day, but it was a choice made to get a house or keep it. So I swapped it for a 3 year lease on a Corolla with monthly payments of..... $12.33 Good news is that I close on my new house next Friday. Maybe another Tundra will appear in the future

I had someone send me this photo several months back. New owner added a topper. Was parked at Phoenix Airport.

Congrats on the house man! Trucks will come and go but at least you stayed Toyota lol. Someone spotted it awhile back and it was posted on the local FB group, had new temp tags so I figured it had been done lol.

Thanks @boardude My son and his friends had seen it around Gilbert a lot, but I've never seen it. I do think though some of the good stuff was taken off by Big Two Toyota in Chandler, after the swap. They had called me after the deal wondering where the cats and exhaust went, lol.

A new build would be fun anyway, having been through it once.

Yep, DT headers and midpipes, and a BAM muffler setup. Someone back in the shop got a Merry Chistmas that day!

No kidding! Yeah you were one of my deciding factors for going Long tubes. Paired it with Keith's custom mids and BAmufflers.

So in stock pro suspension which is basically a 2” level in the front and stock in the rear you fit that tire? Im thinking of just leveling with 5100’s and throwing on spacers to get the similar offset. Think they’ll clear ok?
