Not a knife, yet can be used for some knife purposes... Very sharp. Granfors Bruks Small forest axe. Just big enough for two hands and Small enough to get in my hunting pack.
Great for hunting season to assist with hauling deer out of remote areas and firewood processing.
Next purchase for a hunting knife, Fallkniven Idun-Laminated vg10 steel.

Added a Kershaw Lucha to the collection. Now I just need to learn how to use it without going to the ER.

Over 50 years ago my father brought this back from a trip to Spitsbergen. It was a gift of thanks for flying in supplies. Supposedly handmade by a local. It's been used and abused over the years... but still works as well as the day my father gave it to his young son (me) at the time.

I had a shitty cheap butterfly in high school that I practiced with a lot…got pretty quick with it though I never really saw the utility of using one.
It always reminded me of the scene in Indiana Jones in the market in Cairo where the big dude is doing a bunch of fancy moves with a scimitar and then Harrison Ford just shoots him with his pistol…

I have the same axe. It's a super handy little tool and comes with us on every camping trip. I also have a GB splitting maul for the big jobs.

Very handy axe- fits in my day pack.
    Extremely sharp- like shaving sharp.
Can use for various needs other than chopping, if needed. Very versatile and practical axe.

Thanks Chad. You know your Demko's. I scored this one from the folks at NC Blade. Really, I lucked into it. At first, I was a bit underwhelmed as it had lock stick. I was tempted to pull it apart, clean and lube. But, I just decided to cycle it, fidget and use it. Now it is like butter. And, these things are brutes. I've never used a folder that locked up like these. Not super thin behind the edge, but I'm looking forward to try my sharpening skills. Thanks Ray, for the encouragement.

Ive heard they take a little break in.
    They are a workhorse though.
    And hold an edge well.
    It’s a good score.
You really have to follow their social media or check the website daily to score them.

Looking to try this new locking style when some are available.

Oh man... those AD-15's are something. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that will be producing them anymore. The secondary market for them is crazy. A beaten up version is $700+ and a very nice one is easily north of 4 figures. Cold Steel is offering a version that is probably 85% just as good, but doesn't have the cachet, nor the price tag. You still get the heft, a nice blade and that unique Scorpion lock though. And, they are available in that format.

    Well dang.

I’ll have to look into that.
I’m a fan of Cold Steel and have never been disappointed by their blades.
    Their locking mechanisms are beasts.

I don't have much info on it. I received it in a black pouch. But the blade says:

Thanks, I checked them out. It’s not really Damascus, just an acid stencil. Definitely looks cool. Nice to have a wife that buys you knives!
