As much as I love to hear that v8 purr, ever since I got 35's with an E load range, I drive like a grandma. Those and my 3" toytec lift get me almost exactly 14mpg average.

I just don't know how anyone does it with the 26~ gallon gas tank. Even with only 14mpg average, I can at least get 6 hours/400-450 miles of driving on camp trips with the 38~ gallon tank

The atzp3 are all-terrain/all-season tires. But they don't get the better gas mileage, the supercharger does.

Leveled running 295/60r20's. Computer says I get about 14.5 but with that tire size my odo reads a tenth of a mile slow. Makes actual mpg around 15.4.

I don't drive full on grandpa, but I do things like get up to speed quicker and coast as much as possible. I can actually get closer to 16 if I kick the truck in neutral coming down the bigger hills in my area to bypass the engine braking

Factory P275/65 tires on 18’s with cruise set at 71 =17.8 mpg via hand calculation. Went to LT275/70 10 ply rated Wildpeaks and on the same trip get 16.5 mpg via hand calculation, just over 1” taller and noticeably heavier tire. Right at 40 psi on both sets of tires. My combined is all over the place, depends greatly on percent city vs highway driving on a given tank, but usually 12-15. I drive pretty average, but do like to let the ponies run a little while on most short trips.

Hold the Line! If you are not holding the line, abandon your ship. Destruction is inevitable without more to hold the line!
My loaner f150, 2.7 EcoBoost averages 22.8 MPG, while driving it like I stole it. I have to admit I have been impressed with this truck's speed as well. Not to crap in anyone's cheerios but this truck is definitely quicker than my Tundra as well... Thak God it is a loaner only though, just give it 5 years, and I am sure the Tundra will fare better

2015 CM with a 4" lift and Toyo Open County AT 35/12.5R20 (not certain if C or E rated). Also, a Leer topper and Decked Storage chock full of crap 100% of the time. 80% city and 20% highway driving at about 6,500' in Colorado. I get about 13.5 mpg average using 87 octane (Colorado mid grade). I love my tires and will replace them (ouch!) this summer.

Hand up with a very similar build as yours with a 26gal tank. I made a long run from the woods of the Carson NF near Chama, NM to Colorado Springs, CO last week headed home from camping and could not empty that tank before my bladder was screaming for a break in Colorado City, CO. I think it was about 4 hours at that point. I didn't even have coffee. Would I rather have the bigger tank? Absolutely. Do I feel bad for running a 26gal tank? Not really.

So you’re telling me you get the same numbers with a stock setup that they advertise when you buy it? Wild…

Yep. And even more odd, I get better MPG with the current wildpeaks than I did with much lighter Cooper XLTs. The coopers had some defects, would not keep balance and I also my front end alighment was off. MPG increased about 1mpg when I got the new wildpeaks and alignment. Truck drives noticeably better and smoother too.

I got the truck used and only had the stock tires for a little while, but stock OR package michelin tires I was getting 13-15 city depending of leadfoot and actually got up to 19MPG at times on highway.

One other thing to add that probably increased my MPG performance a little was the addition of 10 inch DD exhaust. And then speed plays a huge part in highway MPG. If it stay around the speed limit, or 5 over I can get 17 , if I drive 10-15 over it will quickly reduce MPG by 1 or 2. I can't complain, MPG is on par with my 06 lifted 4runner and is about what people with v6 Jeeps, Tacomas, get.

Keep in mind that an increase in tire diameter will cause your odometer to be off to the low side. This will impact hand calculation of MPGs and I assume the computer too.

Dang man. That’s good and bad to hear. It kind of confirms that it is the tire and possibly both of our driving places and styles. I even have TRD PRO wheels. It’s pretty much a platinum pro. So we are very similar in all aspects. I love the Falkens but the Toyo AT3s are almost ten pounds lighter.

Yes, 10 more mpg over the 5.7
Reality could upset a few. Good to hear the honesty about another brand truck.

OEM 2015 Limited Crew Max with the 20" wheels and OEM Bridgestones 275/55/20s - 17.5 Mpg in the NE Georgia mountains. Maybe a tad better on the interstate at 75 - 80. Interesting when I take it in to the Toyota dealer for oil change, etc. they said you need the top end fuel injection cleaning to improve my MPG. Then I tell them my MPG and ask why in the world should I waste my money. Just a smile and no answer from the service writer. Actual have to take it in tomorrow for (4) new tires and an oil change. Going with Cooper Evolution's based on all the reviews. No tire is perfect but these seem to have some of the best reviews compared to others including the OEM Bridgestone's.

Sometimes at full lock on a left turn. I didn't put them on there (bought it used) and the fronts are wore down to about 1/4 life left. I'm sure they'd rub with full tread. I plan to get 18s and a slightly smaller tire with a 2/1 level probably when they're completely wore out.

I just drove from Phoenix, AZ to Northern Illinois towing a roughly 1100lbs empty haulmark enclosed 6x10 trailer. best i got was 13.5 MPG with 2020 5.7 Crewmax 4x4 with 275/55/R20 stock tire cruising at 72mpg. worse i got was 9MPG driving into a 55mph headwind from amarillo to oklahoma city.

Phoenix to Albequerque, NM 32 gallons/409 miles on 1 tank gas light came on when i pulled into gas station. (38 Gallon tank) then mileage was crap after that until i got to missouri. 1 tank from st. louis to north of chicago(crystal lake area).

Evolutions are mud tires correct? That’s apoles vs oranges compared to the stock bridgestones.

Unless you are planning on a bunch of mud (which would be odd with a 20” wheel, and/or stock size) the Discoverer XLT’s are about the best reviewed tire you will find. There is a HUGE thread on them here.

35x12.50 and I absolutely do not look at my MPGs. I could not care any less. These trucks have bad gas mileage, I accept it and enjoy knowing I am driving my favorite truck on the road.
