So... the black insert slides backwards out of the orange glove, and the orange glove stays in place?

Oh, I know. That just means an LED conversion using OEM turn socket bases is totally possible. I know others have mentioned slight initial fitment issues with SBL NW3mm

I need to to get some fluid replacement tools together. For those of you with the a750, what are you using? I want to make drain and fills as easy as possible.

I haven't done mine yet. I really need to though. I got the fluid and I got some clear hose (maybe 1/2") just for the job. I wouldn't mind rigging up a hand pump like I use for diffs. It's basically just a shampoo pump kinda thing.

I don't, but I would be interested in seeing what you think of them. The seams in my garage kill wheels. I think my creeper is rocking 3 or 4 wheels right now and it started with 6.

Chatty lads in here whilst I was in the garage fighting the 911.

    Literally fighting.

I haven't punched a car in years and the 911 pushed me that far this weekend.

I'm sure I'm about to start a blood feud in here but what are pwoples thoughts on buying OE parts versus third party/ same as OE replacement. I absolutely agree that you shouldn't buy cheap parts and I know sometimes OE is best but I'm just trying to replace some switching valves that have no connection to the ecu and the pricing is about 75% of what Toyota wants for the same part.

Generally speaking the non-OE parts are cheaper cause, well, they're cheaper made. Less quality in, less money required. The Holy grail has been finding the OE manufacturer and seeing if they offer the part as a non-Toyota branded part like the center carrier bearing by Spicer. Then you can save some dough and have OE quality parts.

I'm back, sorry to inform you all. 1200 miles, 10 nights, three states and plenty of dirt and pretty views. Truck worked like a champ and so did the A/C. Steering shaft seal replacement made cab virtually noise free. One of my camper shell latches broke though so I was stuck zip tying it shut. Great memories.

Denso is OE engine parts because they make 85-90% of the engine electrics for Toyota via contract.

Nope, these are Timbrens. Per the instructions they are supposed to touch the lower arms, so I've been meaning to toy around with spacers. The oil lines on the shaft looked fine though FWIW.

I did some sound deadening in my cab over the weekend and I swear my truck is faster. It's all in my head obviously. It's like a reverse of when you get an exhaust and it seems faster because it's louder. It felt faster because I couldn't hear the intake as much and I couldn't hear the engine working as much. Pretty cool. It was just some Eastwood mat on the front floor and some bubble foil stuff on the firewall. I need to do the roof and it will be really quiet.

Made a pressure fill system out of a $10-15 2-gallon pump sprayer, a 1/4" npt ball valve, compression fitting and hard line.

    PhotoGrid_1618784311082.jpg

I used it on the alignment rack but it also works on the ground. Or you can buy the mityvac version for $75-100.

You can drill out the plastic adapter that the hose slides onto for slightly quicker flow. But it's kinda a PITA. I ended up making an aluminum one after already doing my drain/fills on the modded one (middle of pic).

Doing more of the AZPT, I take it? I was through there a couple of weeks ago with my buddy on a 550 mile 4 day SxS/bike trip. I bet this is the same exact donkey!

Did you check out Secret Pass near Bullhead City? One of my favorite places on the trip.

We started near Salome, went up to Kingman, down to Lake Havasu then back home. We've now completed about 90% of the AZPT in various stages.

$4,500 for the complete battery set from the dealer.
$1,600 - $3,500 for complete battery set aftermarket.
    $40 per cell aftermarket.
There are 28 (IIRC) cells that create the complete battery set / module. usually you have 1 or 2 that go bad, maybe 3.
    Car seems to be worth ~ $3,000, so... I'm going the $40 x 3 = $120 route rather than the $4,500 route.

the empty tin is a beast. But after riding a s1000r i prefer to have a little bubble of a windshield to tuck behind. Passing 18 wheelers was noticeably worse.

They had a zx6-r at the stealer when I dropped my bike off for new shoes. I hopped on it just to see what the riding position was like. It immediately made my hip get mad at me. I don't think I'd be able to ride anything with that kind of riding position for long.

The choice is really just for a liter bike that's not gonna destroy my bod with either riding position or yeeting myself into oblivion. So I was looking at a ninja 1000 or the empty. The empty got it simply for the sound. But the 1000 is fully faired with a windscreen to tuck behind......I dunno. I have till next season to decide.
