Nice trucks here! Great job to all! Love me some backseat action though. Guess I am lucky to own several trailers and have a headache rack plus optional rear cross bar on my CM to accommodate anything a bit too long for the nearly square box.

I just bought color match handles for mine yesterday from Sparks. Did they just start selling them again or did I order the wrong thing?

I am happy with it. I had it shipped bare and PCd it local. Biggest downside was the full height hoop required a new grill to move the Safety sensor.

I envy you guys. I wish I could have gotten the double cab, but with 2 teenage boys and the truck being the family vehicle I had to choose extra space over bed room. I think about dclb tundras everytime I put my work ladder in the back.

Love my DC. My third... 2005, 2007 and 2017. Sometimes feel like the step-child though when it comes to aftermarket parts...

I have 2 other 4 door cars for the occasions when I want to haul 4 people around....or this works just fine.
    - But I really needed a truck to haul things in the bed and tow. IMG_1222.jpg Heck, I would have considered a standard cab with 8ft. bed if they sold them. The DC with the 8' beds looks great, but the wheelbase seems just a little too long for me to maneuver around.

I’ve had a lot of people look inside and say oh wow I didn’t know you had a full back seat

Me too, plenty of times. I'd say the double cab backseat is comparable size to a full 4 door Tacoma backseat.

    Tire and wheel size? Sharp!

I’d still buy a standard cab short bed if made. Although this has nothing to do with our DC’s.
    Maybe on the next gens..

I’ve even had a friend who is 6’4” with a gut say he felt totally comfortable in the backseat. Unless you need to fit a spacious car seat for a kid I see no point in the crewmax haha

While I am a huge fan of the double cab, I think it would look and be a lot better if they were to enlarge the back door windows toward the back of the door and continue the bottom line from the front windows. They only complaint that I have had from people in the backseat of my 2007 and 2017 DC is that the large door pillar restricts the view and makes them feel closed in. (Problem if people get car sick.) I hope Toyota improves the back door window on the 2022 redesign.
