What do ya think of my LBJ?

Suspension is all stock with 158k. Truck is 2010 4-bie crewmax.

Its been like this for a some time..not sure when it started. Mooving the boot i can see it is torn in that middle crease. I can see some grease still in there but it seems grease has been seeping some.

    Should i be concerned?

Im in the middle of mooving houses and all my tools are in storage so i cannot address this any sooner.

Being how the ball joint is 'sandwiched' or 'clamped' between that lower bracket and the spindle, should i be concered that if the LBJ failed that it will take out that whole front side?....like the first gens?

If your in the middle of moving, I would keep going, it won't leave you stranded.
edit: It would take a collision for it to come apart.

The ball joint is in compression, versus the 1st gens where it's in tension. That means regardless how sloppy the joint gets, there's nothing trying to pull it apart. I wouldn't worry about it, wouldn't hurt to change it or reboot it eventually. Could pump some grease into it if you're feeling froggy too.
