So I hit my brights today and my truck lost the gauge cluster and powered down. Only to come right back online. Anyone ever experience this?

Have you checked your battery cables?

But the engine did not lose power. Is that correct?

ditto on check battery connections and good ground. Could also be the battery needs to be replaced, are you on the original battery? Battery on its last legs can do some funky thing with newer auto electronics. Just went through some odd ball stuff with the wifes suv, crazy things like that vid. New battery and all is good again.

As mentioned, check battery and cables. My wife's Highlander did pretty much the same thing when the battery went out. It sat for a while and had just enough juice to start and back out of the driveway, then went crazy like that. New battery and all is good.
BTW, I'm impressed with your 16.3 MPG on the dash, unless that was just a fluke from the gauge cluster freakout, haha!

So battery cables are solid. Very minimal corrosion. Test shows alternator may not being doing it’s job. But this happened over again where the key would do absolutely nothing. Seems like there could be a gremlin in good ol Blackbeard after all

Maybe check for signs of rodent damage. Read about mice causing HVAC issues but not this exactly.

Low voltage issue. Battery, alternator, or both. If your on the original battery I'd start by replacing that.

luckily the Ford dealership I bought it at has a bumper to bumper warranty that comes with the truck. So for $100 bucks they are going to fix whatever is wrong with it.

Check grounding points in the engine bay, 1 may be loose and will cause a complete power draw.
