First winter with the 1025r. Much nicer than walking behind a snowblower.

In the process of tractor shopping. We have Mahindra and Kubota dealers that are local.

Any reason to stay away from the Mahindra 1533? Found a nice deal on a lightly used one with brand new implements that I am going to look at today.

Is the "Right to Repair" an issue for smaller tractors? I keep reading reports about John Deere prohibiting owners from repairing their equipment.

I don't believe it is. Smaller ones may have an engine computer but typically don't have the DPF, GPS guidance, and all the other proprietary stuff of the large tractors/equipment.

Not so much. The issues with Deere computers is largely in their largest agricultural tractors which have full blown computerized everything.

Mahindra makes a fine machine - keep in mind almost any make is simply a “repainted” model based off a few manufacturers in India.

Go with a local dealer who can provide support/service post sale over any “brand” preference or a few dollars savings.

I mean Deere/Kubota:AgCo will always have parts available - but local dealer being able to fix things and give advice as well as order those parts at a reasonable price is a big point - not just in owning but resale.

Right to repair is not much of an issue - as mentioned - many are just repackaged India designs - so nothing exclusive about the design except the key and the paint. Deere gets it most because they are king of the hill - but everyone does it. Massey/AgCo parts are ridiculously priced in my opinion. Everyone sells their own brand oil/hydraulic fluids and charges 20% more than the label of the company who made it under license for them for example…MF was like 60% higher at last check.

So Just curious - how stupid is the market these days for CUTs/Utility Tractors ?

Honestly have not kept up much this year - I have what I need and no need to buy anything.

Got thinking the other day though - I have dads Massey GC1705 with loader and mower and probably under 100 hours on it - bought new in 2015. Thing is ok for what it is - but it’s a glorified lawn mower - not a tractor by my definition.

Then I have my Deere 2025 TLB bought new in 2018. Again - it’s a nice sized machine - but not a real tractor.

I’m debating - should I take the MF and trade towards something a little bigger like a 3 series Deere or L2501 Kubota (or maybe a off brand) or just dangle both together for a “real” tractor.

The Backhoe attachment doesn’t get used much - but handy to have as at the time I bought it - we had no local places to rent a mini excavator for example - so if we had a water line break for example - I was at mercy of the few locals with real heavy equipment to come help. Now a few places have begun to offer rentals and as useful as it is - if I needed there are options.

Really not doing much at the farm these days - so don’t think I’m gonna swap out the 2025 yet. When the day comes I feel I need something bigger - it’s easy enough to upgrade.

Still not sure what to do with the GC1705 - I don’t need it for my house - the Deere rider serves me well - selling private party is likely going to be a steady stream of tire kickers and low ballers (got my fill of them when I took over farm - trying to score equipment on the cheap to flip) - thinking either consignment auction/sale or trade in towards a bigger unit - knowing I can use the cost to offset some capital gains taxes (and if I’ve learned anything- tractors don’t depreciate much if kept sheltered/maintained and the tax savings can add up fast).

Both companies make solid tractors. I almost purchased a Mahindra but the dealers around me weren't very good, and now both of them no longer sell Mahindra.

I was up at my Kubota Dealership (largest in Colorado and owns 3 dealerships) on Monday, and the lots are bare. The John Deere dealership is right next door and had the same issue. Implements are tough to come by as well. In the time it took me to go up to the dealership to buy a 66" box blade (38 min), they sold 6 of them. While doing the paperwork for mine, another salesman put a SOLD tag on mine which was the last one.

    Been a while.

178 hrs now. This winter was pretty mild.

Been hauling a lot of boulders lately. Found another mountainside that someone wants to move in Morrison Colorado, so I will take full advantage of his excavator.

I lucked out with this load. Picked these up for my wife. This is her Valentines Day present. I picked these up off I-70 west of Denver as the blizzard and cold weekend that crippled our southern electrical grid. That was a sporty tow home. In this picture, temp was already -7*F.

On Monday I had enough of my driveway. Broke down and purchased a Land Pride 66” Box Blade.

20-25 min and my driveway was smooth again.

Guess I should just sell my 2 and wait for things to normalize (sad last 6 years of increasing prices every year and tight supply is normal) - I’m lucky in that I don’t “need” them and can do this - then just buy 1 larger tractor.

Thought about adding a 2nd Gator - but I know the market for those is out of control too - I paid 8k for my 590i in 2018 - was a 2017 sitting on showroom floor - they gave me the upgraded wheels free when I said I was happy with steel and change them out - as I didn’t want to pay the added cost too.

I thought about going up to a full sized model or maybe a 4 seater - keeping this one as it’s paid off and still has plenty of life left. Guessing I’d be double what I paid though IF I could find anything- and that’s for a basic model.

Getting a fork lift / bucket for the front and a bush hog / tiller / disk for the rear. This way it can be used at the warehouse at my office as well as to plant food plots / clear roads at the hunting lease

    Holy crap. Big spender. :D

I was checking out your tractor last night online. Really good machines...and definitely not cheap. I priced one out without implements starting at 30k.

I have a Kubota LX2610SU which I have had for about a month. Nice machine. Mine was made in Japan, though they have a manufacturing plant in Georgia. I ordered it before Spring to beat the rush and I was glad I did because it took almost three months before it was delivered. This is a dealer with three showrooms in NY. I stopped in there this week to get some filters and fluids for the first maintenance and the only machines on display were a few used tractors and a dozen lawn mowers. I bought the last two gallons of hydraulic fluid (Kubota branded UDT2) they had on the shelf.

One reason I chose Kubota over Deere is that the quick attach implements for the loader are generic skid steer fitment. Deere has a proprietary quick attach.

I have a Kubota LA302 it also says B7500? No problems ever-runs flawless but if I had to buy again I would go a little larger. Mine is a little too tippy with a bucket of rock.
Maybe something with a roof too!

Nice compact tractor. The Kubota B7500 has its place for sure.

You can counterbalance the tires with rim guard to help with lifting.

I think the highest quote we got was around 25k with just the bucket, so it wasn’t too bad. Ended up getting the best deal at our local place for around 23 before other implements. My dad will be using it as well and he wanted to splurge for one that had a nice adjustable seat for his back. I’m thinking a top to stay out of the sun is also a must in the near future
