Let’s see your front lawn skills

I have no yard skills. My wife, however, has some pretty serious skills. Here's our front yard.

 

This is the earliest I’ve had to mow since living here. Ugh. But I’m using a new Ferris 61” isx 800. Full suspension thank goodness. My neck, back (and teeth) appreciate it.

 

While cutting grass can sometimes be a chore I too find it relaxing. Also bringing a weedy lawn back can be next to impossible and sometimes is depending on what kind of weeds take hold.

 

I’m still rock’n the dirt look for now. Hopefully plants, palms and lighting soon.

 

I plant clover and fescue... let the weeds go

yeah - no striping kit though; that's just the tires and the mower deck. I think will get a kit for uniform stripes (just to take the tire tracks out).

 

i just made another simple one last night out of some bed matting. took me about 15 mins to make. if it doesn't work, i'll be making one out of pvc pipe

 

Yeah its counterintuitive, never could understand fertilize and water get it all nice and green only to cut it and start over...I opt for a house in the woods, no FN grass

 

Some people like clover as well. It's short, self fertilizing and doesn't require mowing.

 

Anyone ever try just broadcasting clover on lawn grass? I've heard it will eventually take over.

 

Just some clarification as to why I was frustrated to be mowing in April. The previous pic was from Sunday. This is today.

getting ready to mow my yard and turn the water on for the first time in the next few days. I've got a checkmate striping kit that I use and like as well. Need to level the backyard this summer too.

 

nice! guessing a smaller yard to use it on? hows handling on it with it attached?

I had made three times and I had 4 in of snow on mine this morning it's all gone this evening.

 

Lol. It’s bluegrass front and back. The left side is actually gravel that got some grass in it. No sprinklers and will eventually be paved as parking.

 

It's been a few days since it's been mowed we had 4 in of snow this morning and it's not very sunny but here's a little peak. The stripes show up much better in the sun.

Old mower (Gravely Z52) about 4 hours..
New mower (Ferris ISX800 - full suspension, 61" deck) about 3 hours. but yeah, it's a bunch.

 

Finally got to cut grass today. Its been raining/flooding all last week and a bit this week. Couple shots from back end of back yard

 

I am so jealous of the yards here. You could mow my lawn in one pass with some of the equipment some of you are using.
