2022 TUNDRA TRD PRO exclusive color?

I heard buzzing from the engineer from AUTOMOTIVE PRESS hinting that the TUNDRA TRD Pro exclusive color (in addition to black, gray and white will be gold).

Then I saw the following article that showed pics of a gold 4Runner.

Not a fan of gold. I wish they would bring back quicksand. That color with blacked out accents looks amazing imo

 

LOL - we had a boat that color when I was a kid. My dad named it "Baby Runs" - which had nothing to do with the motor.

 

It WILL BE a gold flake color. Not sure of the exact "name" it will be given.

Does Toyota have this type of color in its previous vehicle lineup anywhere? The "gold" type colors I recall on vehicles are really ugly....UNLESS it's an old muscle car or super old classic

They had the pyrite mica in the Gen 2 which is more along the lines of their typical "gold" color (also 90's/early 2000's corolla's, camry's, and Rav4's). Dunno about a more pronounced yellow "gold" color.

No idea. And yeah I am generally not a fan of gold vehicles. But for that matter, am not a fan of the Lunar Rock color either, but the name is pretty cool.

A few months ago they used photoshopped images of the same 4runner to suggest it may be a green color. All thanks to 4RunnerSnacks, who simply photoshopped the color multiple times so they could borrow the images to produce fake clickbait news.

 

In equally as likely news, the 2022 4Runner Pro will come pre modded in all of the following colors:

100% agree. I think with the blacked out accents it was hands down the best color.

You say boring but I say great. There is a lot of history in tan Toyotas but you probably do not like any of these boring vehicles:

I could see metalic mustard working on a taco. Its a more youthful "sporty" truck and that fits the character more. The Tundra is a bit more mature and conservative, so it calls for more muted tones. Except for that inferno red color, that works.

 

Friend of mine had a factory yellow Tercel 4x4 wagon in high school, pretty cool in the early 90’s

 

I think MR2 came in a similar color. It works on sporty.

David Chao's latest rendering of the 2022 TRD Pro has an interesting color a slighter darker shade of "Quicksand" which I really like and if that is offered would be my first choice.
"Lemon" yellow not so much...

 

Green is my favorite color (surprising I know) but im not sure I could handle a big truck in that color. Those loud colors work better on smaller vehicles and that color in particular reminds me of the New Beetle green from '98. Maybe seeing it in person would sway me.

 

Gold can be killer, here is a pic of my grandmoms 72 Lemans I restored- original color Quezal Gold! Looked like metallic fire in the sun.
