Yesterday was oil change and transmission fluid drain&fill. Today I hauled some scrap logs. Tonight I will take it to softball practice.

Thanks for that. So, the local shop did the timing belt and related, no prob. They replaced the rear drum brakes and flushed the lines and machined the rotors. I took the truck up to my hiking spot and on the way back, which is about 20 miles downhill at 5%, the shuddering was not nearly as bad but it is still there.

I think I have bad rotors. I will need to wait a bit and just do that myself. I think I'll look into powerstop. Need to change the oil too. Plus buying a house...

    I'm broke!

Well that was for the transmission which takes Dexron III or equivalent. I use a synthetic like Mobil 1 ATF fluid myself.

    Super easy, drain and fill.
Toyota trans fluid T-IV. Dirt cheap and works like a charm.

01 is Dex3 like @Jack McCarthy mentioned. No need for a dealer run. You can get a gallon of it for under $20 a lot of places.

Gave it 2 hours exercise in a spirited manner. Started raining while I was cutting the lawn, so washed the truck. Of course rain stopped before truck was finished, so had to get the hose out & hooked up anyway. No shortcuts! Bah.
But I sure do love driving this truck.

It is the 5.5 x 54" rack. I believe they simply have it as listed by its size on the site (not by make/model). Pretty stoked on the size actually. It fits GREAT- width is awesome. Wouldn't mind maybe half a foot more in length, though. No big deal. If I could do it over i'd probably see if they had a 60" version, order longer tracks and cut them if necessary. There's a guy on YouTube Jesse Stone with very helpful videos on installing both tracks and the rack. Just make sure you install the stiffener braces while you install the feet, off of the truck.

Still like frontrunner more for their customer service in my experience. Plus, their product looks better on this truck I think.

An impact with a socket adapter makes life much easier.

First? Mattress, surfboards, coolers, and whatever else I need to put on top to move half way across the country :D

After that? Whatever I find that I'll use often. Not going to throw stuff up there for style points! Lol. I'd like an awning and a shower system since I surf and dirt bike. Maxtrax could come in handy.

i doubt someone that bought a buell would have bought an early tundra. Too mellow, too many nannies. Im glad to have both. I drive the tundra like an old man most of the time, but when i lay into a downshift, theres not much slingshot of torque, but it doesnt mind revving, and its relatively geared to rev. The bike, im a solid hooligan. Passing on double yellow, running the shoulder and lane splitting through traffic. When i get into city cities like inside the loop houston i find myself running bandit for the left lane. Im part italian, so gestures come naturally.

today @ sir 5’s tundra adventure was a trip to walmart and heb and back. Theyre basically next door to each other, but on the 15 mile trip to town, running the italian tune up, no OD and spirited, a buzz developed, which ended up being dash, but i thought i might have hurt a manifold.
