They were throwing out a brand new 54” deck for my tractor where my uncle works. So we saved it. And now I have a ~$1600 WHEN USED deck to replace the 48”

Say hello to the latest addition to the Tundra2 clan.
    20210523_152320.jpg

    2003 Corolla 4banger. $3,500 out the door. 129k miles.

I'll be pestering @empty_lord for routine maintenance torque specs, and other odds'n'ends as he has access to all the tech mumbo jumbo. Until I have a Haynes manuèl

This song makes me think of my brother in law, same kinda guy you mentioned.

    The man of today
Don't have a back for the weight
Nobody to wait for food on the plate

Soft hands why don't you do it yourself
Instead of waiting on everyone else
Pick up your limp chin and tighten up your belt
Instead of waiting for your shadows to help

My limited experience with pressure washers taught me that gas powered ones kick more ass when they're running right. They don't run right often without being taken apart, blowing the carb out, doing some rain dance that PHM probably learned in the Andes of Peru, and lots of cursing.

Electric ones are plug and play. The only one I had was 20 years ago and I'm sure they're better these days. My only complaint on the one I had was limited pressure. The spray lost a lot when using the fan mode, using the focused mode the area was so small.

I say go for it, worst case return policy is good to know about.

Mine too. I was changing a radiator for my other brother in law because my father in law thought nobody but me could do it. Halfway through, he walks into the garage in his pajamas and proceeds to tell us how he has a bitchen nova or something he works on with his dad (real dad, not the married into one he lived with at the time). Here I am on a week night 20 miles from home days after popping my shoulder out of socket and trying to change a radiator and play parts acquirement guy and I don't even live under my father in laws roof. Crazy.

There is something satisfying about running a rough hand over a nice and smooth painted surface after you clay bar it. If you have rough hands, and I am willing to bet you do, they catch every rough spot on the paint. It's annoying like micro fiber cloths.

When you realize how easy bath #2 is after clay, I think you'll get on board.

2 cars is the way to go especially with miles you drive.

When i got my s10 blazer, i spent 2 days, over 16 hours claybaring, waxing, and polishing. Really made me proud of it.

My tundra paint looked just like that in white. I was questioning what I had done when I bought my truck and saw it in the daylight. I brought out the big polisher and worked on it with M105 and 205. I honestly couldn't believe how much it improved. I am happy to deal with single coat paint over peeling clear coat.

Can someone check how many rotations it takes to get to full tilt left & right from steering wheel centered please? One side should have more rotation to it, removed my steering column before knowing one side has more rotation than the other.

    Thanks!

I went with a Ryobi electric unit and it works pretty good. I love the push button start. It's not as powerful as my last one but at least this one starts and doesn't overheat every 30 minutes. The only negative I can find so far is what you'd expect. Having 2 hoses and a cord is a little annoying at times but manageable.

Just checked mine, just shy of 1 3/4 turns from center to full left and right. I believe they should have the same, not different amount of rotation in each direction.

Who was it that had the. Double cab they used for their 4x4 swap?

If you still have it, was it a VVTI motor and do you have the intake manifold with throttle and injectors + rails?

Yes, yes, and yes. Trouble is, I don't really want to part with any drivetrain stuff. I’ve been slowly getting it back together so I can sell it to the pick a part as-is. They have come straight out and told me that the only reason they’d buy it is if it was running.

Plus, Texas is a lot farther than you think it is.

That’s where it gets shady. They won’t quote me anything at the yard. They send a guy out with the flatbed and that dude tells you what they are willing to pay. If you agree, he hauls it off.

They’ve got me by the balls though. I live in a residential area with zero room for it. It’s already gotten stickered on the window once for not moving for two weeks.
