What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

I agree. Only interior thing I don’t have are the new door handle covers. Not sure I’m sold. glad I got the blacked out Toyota symbol prior to his newer “AJT” design emblem in the same spot. Looks nasty

 

I know SEM is good. I'm curious about the overlay. I'm trying to avoid taking the steering wheel apart

 

Solid cause they only drive the highways!!! HAHA, seriously tho, I followed the directions to a T and everything went in just like the video they provide. But it still bounces quite a bit to the point sometimes I cant even read stuff on the screen. Wish the truck had Android Auto but I dig the wireless charger feature this one has and the phone is right where I need it. I like your idea, might have to try it and see how it goes.

 

Mine was bouncing while just sitting at a light. It doesn't move now.

Yeah that’s the only reason I went with a cover. I’m hesitant to take the wheel apart, and if I was going to dissemble I’d just track down some OEM black ones.

coverage with the covers is decent, but I haven’t stuck them down in place yet, only did a “dry fitting”. Might improve once the tape is remove and they are actually stuck down. I’ll keep you posted.

 

Those pieces are very easy to remove.

 

Yeah I agree. I got the blacked out symbol. Weird to even make a AJT logo version. Cant fathom many folks bought it. I like AJT cause it doesn’t say AJT

Does this use the standard bed mounting points or did you have to drill into the bed to mount?

 

The overlay is like $20-30. But I guess I can look back at the videos for taking the wheel apart. I initially planned on it so I could remove the emblem but then I bought an overlay.

 

UPS kindly dropped off some goodies from AJT and @memario1214

V3 shifter, black door handle overlays, and the climate knobs will complete my kit.

Just a personal preference, but the overlays stick up higher than the oem buttons.
It’s not a big deal but it didn’t look or feel factory.

I was lucky enough to live only 2 hours north in Warner Robins...you will be very happy with the setup.

 

Steering wheel gut galore. To go past that and take the overlay/trim off the steering portions you’ve got me. Guess there would be a YouTube video to make us “experts” on it

Same video I used. Matter of fact, I’ve used quite a few of his vids for stuff. So grateful for him posting these, and saved many hours of cussing trying to figure crap out

 

Installed my anytime front and rear camera. Also installed the VLEDS LPR reverse light. I put tiny film on the led bar as I didn’t like how yellow it was.

 

Got these back from Cryo - REM treatment.
Ready for install.

Honestly, taking the steering wheel apart is so incredibly easy. I ended up buying some carbon fiber vinyl and just wrapped mine and turned out awesome.

Bought a 2.5” ready lift leveling kit from a buddy. Brand new in box... contemplating selling it now and going a diff route. My mind changes every day

 

I like that steering wheel. Is that a whole new wheel or one of those stitch it yourself kits?
