    Hello all,

Installed the SPC UCA with their greaseable ball joints over the weekend and unfortunately i wasn't paying attention to the torque SPC specs in their instructions at 45ftlb. I torqued the ball joints to the Toyota spec which is roughly 2x.... I left a message for SPC to see what their thoughts are but i'm not expecting a fast response :)

The ball joint has a shoulder so i assume the biggest risk is just seizing the nut the or stripping the thread which has not happened...

Any thoughts from the brain trust here? Anyone else goof on this? Any concern for damage to the ball joint? Should i separate and re-torque?

If you are talking about the nut where the ball joint goes through the spindle, I would loosen it and retorque to 45 ft lbs. Make sure you don't band the threads on the shaft if you decide to completely seperate it. If you want more justification on the 45 ft lbs, call Toytec Lifts. They install them all the time, and their shop is open.
