What better way to artificially start a crisis like a gas shortage to get people into buying an electric vehicle?

Everyone knows we all want to come home on a Friday afternoon when it’s 90F+ outside to find the power grid going out with everyone running their AC and charging their vehicles…

Depends on how you feel about the government having full control of your money.

Thats fair but even if every dollar I had was just crypto, somebody other than me would be in control of its value. When something as funny as Elon claiming that bitcoin is not environmentally friendly and dropping his shares lowers the value, I don't find it to have greater stability.

I was more aimed at completely anonymous transactions. I don't see how that benefits anybody other than criminals or terrorist-like activities.

If you think you're in control of the value of your Uncle Sam bucks, then I've got some bad news for you. Either way, I see crypto as more of a safe way to make purchases online. No matter how complex I make my PayPal password, once every few years someone buys a few thousand bucks worth of shoes in China using my account. Seeing as I have to approve each transaction for the exact amount when I use crypto, I feel more comfortable. It's a super wonky system right now, but I think once it becomes more universally accepted, it's a good option to keep your money safe. As long as you don't lose access to your wallet, then you're screwed.

Oh no, never said that. I said I've got no control over the value whether US dollar or any crypto. No single person does.

I haven't had any bad luck with PayPal yet, but I do keep it linked to a low amount bank account that I keep around for those seemingly risky online purchases. I wouldn't use my main checking account for any online purchase unless its a very trusted place.

Wow, the stars must be aligned this week. I’m seeing so many items in every industry with enormous wait times that it’s almost a given when trying to order anything. Saw a sale last week for N-Fab nerf RS steps and decided to order a set for my son’s Taco (that is yet to be built). Was shocked when out of the blue they were at my door in 5 days. Didn’t even receive an email shipping notification. I consider this a good week.

That is a good week. My brother buys vodka from Sam’s Club and he told me they lowered the price! Which is unheard of in today’s world where everything is going up in price. I told him to stock up.
