    OK,

hello all, I just finished my Bilstein 6112 at top setting and 5160 rears install and now I'm ready to add new tires and rims!

I already have the SCS Custom SR8 18's and these are the specs

    TECH SPECS
SIZE BOLT PATTERN BS OFFSET WEIGHT

    18 X 9 5 X 150 6.00" +25mm 27.0lbs

I am looking at the Nitto Ridge Grappler, TOYO R/T or AT 2! I added a poll for the 3!

I would like to know the largest and widest tire size without Chop or major cutting and no major poke out! 295/70/18, 35/12.50/18 or OTHER SIZE!

Any advice or opinion, much welcomed!

I also just installed 6112s and 5160s i have toytec shackles on the mid setting. I will be getting tires here soon as well and im going with 295/70r18. They will be either Nitto ridge grapplers or the toyo at2. Both are great. But for 98% road i say Toyo At2.

That wheel offset will have you out 1"-1.25" from where your stock set up is currently. Increasing tire width (I'm assuming starting at 275) is gonna give you another ½" on top of that if you just go to the 295's. 35x12.5 is a 1" wider tire than the 295. You'll be cutting or trimming either way.

The outer lip of your wheels will be pushed out 1/4 more than 9 inch wide wheels of same offset. Since my wheel offset is 18 mm (9 inch wide), your outer lip of your wheels will be about 0.65 mm further away from the body mount compared to mine. My 295/70/18 tires on these wheels are very very close to the body mounts but I have no rubbing there. I would say if you go with 295s, you probably will not have to touch the body mount. With 35's, you probably will have to.

Stock UCA? Aftermarket UCA's move the top of the wheel farther back for increased castor. If you've got stock UCA's there's less chance that you'll need the CMC. Even if you need to have the CMC done, it's not too expensive. I recently looked at @dcsleeper408's truck and couldn't tell it had been done.

285's. Only 2K miles on this set but had KO2's on a different truck. They were awesome in all elements. Great traction with next to no noise.

Talking with discount tire plus the guy called various sources. we determined 285/65/18 in KO2 was the best fit for level Tundra. I was surprised with rubbing the forward front mud flap in reverse at mid turn. Eliminated after removing flap. Other than that no issues. We took a 14 mile mountain trail with awesome performance.

Thats the one I keep going back to, I ran Toyo AT's on my 2010 Tundra for 5 years and had 49000 before trading in!

I didnt know that Nitto was a part of TOYO so would that mean that the Nitto Ridge Grapplers would be as good as my first gen Toyo AT's, meaning quality and lasting!

I just had discount swap out 285/70/18 exo grapplers for 285/65 KO2's. The bfg's are way smoother riding and have way better traction. No clearance issues with either with 2.5 lift, but I'm running stock wheels. My truck looked a lot better with the 34's but it still looks good and drives a lot better. Lots of guys say you don't need ucas at 2.5". But @LOTSOFTOYS aligned mine and the camber is maxed out and not quite there. Could get a little more But would sacrifice caster and handling. So, looks like ucas are in my future.

Discount tire is awesome! They let me trade after four months. Pick the ones that you think you like the best and drive it. If you don't like them, swap them out. Don't wait to long, their policy is 30 days. I got lucky and hadn't put many miles on them.

Nitto Tire company originally began as Toyo's business partner, back in 1970s, I think. Now both Toyo Tire USA and Nitto Tire USA are sister companies that belong to the parent company Toyo Tire and Rubber Company in Japan. These sister companies have their headquarters in the US. But Toyo Tire USA and Toyo Tire and Rubber Company in Japan are not the same company.

I've had Nitto Trail Grappler for more than two years. I had stock BFG Rugged Trail tires with rubber chunks missing, etc. But Nitto has been flawless so far. I think both Nitto and Toyo make some excellent tires. You can't go wrong with either of them.

Toyo AT 2's are slowly catching up to the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in the poll race!

So far I got my $ on the Nitto's!
