Pulled into work the other day and two coworkers said I was leaking something. After work, checked all fluids and all was fine. Got home and saw a puddle when I left the supermarket. Was wet from the condensation tube. But in the morning, I wasn’t running the a/c, so why was there any condensation? Thoughts?

With Defrost on, AC compressor automatically comes on even if you have AC off, hence the question @bmf4069 asked.

My driveway is sloped. When we pull in with the AC running and shut if off for the night, almost without fail when I back out in the morning there is a fresh puddle of water with a splatter tail running down the driveway. I have just always assume it was just AC condensation that collected somewhere on the chassis while it was parked and as soon as the car moves, it just runs off to the driveway. And when I return, the puddle is gone. No oily residue or stains. No worries!

You should see the wet spot here. It’s very humid some days. At big parking lots, birds will drink cold refreshing water from the condensation pipe.

Definitely not ignorance, simply unaware. The beauty of lack of knowledge around here is that sooner or later folks like @tvpierce come along with a defrost type thread and next thing you know a number of members are applying a fix. The below thread was a few months after I joined here and was literally one of the first mods I tried....the rest is history. Here to help like everybody else.
