Think the sumos are designed to make contact on both sides. I have Timbren, so just going off memory from my research a few months back.

edit: looks like I was wrong based on previous thread posts with pics

My bed is full of tools and with the diamond back HD cover, I’m touching my timbren.
Before my truck is floaty, now it feel like a truck again. I think I need some new shocks to temp the bounce down and to accommodate the TRD sway bar.

I’m really liking my Dobinsons rear shocks.

What did you end up going with? Bought and installed black SumoSprings and the family and I don’t like the ride when not in use. If you went with Timbrens, did you have a positive experience?

    Thanks!

Did you go with the 3,600 or 6,000 pound Timbren option? Looks like the 3,600 option from the pics, but want to be sure. We tow a 5,550lb TT, even with WDH, get a fair amount of bounce in the rear. Trying to smooth things out before we take a long trip. Picked it up stock with a WDH applied on the way home. 200 miles later and we felt beat up from the bounce. Appreciate your guidance.

I got the timbren SES torton4 kit. It’s the regular timbrens. I considered the off road active bumpstops, but just figured stick with the standard one. Hopefully they suit you as they do me.

since my review I managed to hit a “whoop” at high speed that made my hit the timbren with nothing in the back of the truck. It was not a big deal at all. I noticed it but it wasn’t like hitting your factory bump stop, it was totally fine. This means that all of the things I was worried about are not issues. 100% happy customer.

Do you think these would be good for a Go Fast Camper on my 21 Crewmax. I have 1.5" Toytec shackles as my rear setting right now. Picking up the Go Fast in the fall.

I can’t tell you but if you have shackles in the rear you’ll probably want a spacer under the timbren to close the gap a bit
