Tundra Taxes and Registration Fees - What is Your State?

Every state is different in what is charged for vehicle registration fees and personal property taxes. For some it is valuation based and others are uniform or age based. Utah used to be valuation based but is now uniform age based. Just renewed mine. 2008 Tundra $76 and 2020 Tundra $216. I know Wyoming is valuation based. What are your Tundra annual taxes/registration fees?

 

Mine is 2017 Tundra for $175

 

2019, Louisiana. 125 for 2 yrs on a personalized plate

 

Hey @French Avocado Thanks for starting this thread. I went out this morning to look at my registration to see what I paid and discovered my registration EXPIRED back in March. For some reason I didn't get, or overlooked, my renewal notice. Crap !!

Of course I was also due for an emissions check before I could renew. Double Crap!!!

Anyhow, all caught up now.

2010 Tundra. Arizona 2 year renewal, minus $12 late free (crap!), $179

 

$267.89 for my 2020 1794, renewed in February. That's here in Alabama.

 

Just got my registration fees yesterday for my 2020 and it's due end of July. $732 (California)

 

It appears that California is in first place - winning again.

 

Wow that’s awesome. Propert (Excise) is like $25 per $1000 here in Massachusetts. Mine was pretty close to $1000

 

And Massachusetts (Alex) races to the front of the pack supplanting California.

 

Mine was around $600 in Charleston, SC for the Turd Pro. Wife's Lexus was $800 and my boat is $2200 per year.

Fairly low in Ohio - I think I pay about $75 to renew registration annually for my 2012. It's a flat fee, not based on value.

 

Hardly. Watercraft are high here in Charleston county. You pay a tax on the boat and each engine.

I was wrong. My new boat is only $1600. It's a 25' boat with 1 engine. My previous boat was $2200 - 26' with twins.

 

7% on purchase new or used ,after that yearly tag 20$ in Georgia

 

Mine is about $100 or so for the year because I have a TBL plate and the wife's 4R is about $70 or so. Florida goes by vehicle weight on trucks.

 

I just did mine last week, $245.

 

Mine was close to $1500 iirc for 5 years in AZ. 2017 tundra and that was registering in 2019

 

$453.75 for my 2019 in Indiana. After reading some of these, I think I'm going to write my congressman.

It drops each year for the first few years, and then it stays there. Forever.

2019 SR5 will cost me $554.74 next month. Add a dollar if I do it by mail instead of driving to the County Courthouse.

We have the lowest population of the 50 states, but get taxed like the state that won't float away, when licensing our vehicles.

We get boned on hunting licenses too.

 

California 2017 $480

 

Northern Va - registration for 2 years was 232. Personal property tax was around 1500.00 for the year. It reduces over time but you have to pay every year….

 

Minnesota-

2020 valued at $48,500 $616.

2011 and older valued at $10,000 or less $35!

 

2008 in CA, $441

 

But you have no state income tax!!!!!!!

 

For now. The idiots that have fled other states and now fill the NW corner of the state are pushing to have state income tax.

What kind of @$$hole pushes for MORE taxes? Oh, right. Rich transplants from other places who can afford to lose another chunk of their income and feel perfectly justified imposing the same loss on a half million other people.

 

No state income tax in TN, either. Yet we pay a flat tag fee. The way some states tax their residents is puzzling to me. I heard property tax was really high in Kansas of all places. Didn’t believe it. So I checked. My truck would cost me $836 the first year. Depreciates after that. Plus I’d pay DOUBLE the prop tax on a home of the same value in KC or Wichita as I pay on my home in Nashville. Insane. It’s like the Taxachussets of the Midwest.

 

Mine's pretty rough.

$63 for 2 years for registration, and $350 per year for taxes.
