I smoked here and there I just couldn't get a habit going. I enjoy the buzz though. It helps me chill out without alcohol or without killing my lung function. Being a chubass, I need my lungs working as good as I can.

I know I don't want to deal with it. We don't hike much over the next 4 months.

What's wrong with things that go boom? Girls, explosions, trucks, counting and dogs. That's basically my top four things.

Boom things are too costly to boom anymore.

My Academy used to have 3 isles full of ammo. The shelves have been empty for so long they’ve decided to just start filling it with more fishing stuff since they haven’t seen more than a few boxes in almost a year.

    Can any locals confirm?

The tracking service GasBuddy.com on Friday showed that 88% of gas stations were out of fuel in the nation’s capital, 45% were out in Virginia and 39% of Maryland stations were dry. About 65% of stations were without gas in North Carolina, and nearly half were tapped out in Georgia and South Carolina.

I just pulled the stereo out of the dash to install the new HU I bought.
Is it worth the effort to completely remove the whole OE stereo system?
Or will I be ok hacking into power, switched power, and ground to get the stereo powered and then splice from new stereo harness to door harnesses for speakers?

Can't speak to those states but I had to visit 3 gas stations today before I found one that had fuel. Apparently Pilot stores use another supplier and they aren't impacted by the Colonial issue.

Does anyone here keep any fuel stored at home? I have considered it but never got it done.

I am actually incredibly jealous of that. @shoe07 has a pretty good gen one budget solution for that though. My comfortable towing range is about 200-250 miles right now.

Yup. It'll occasionally get cycled through vehicles and refilled rather than dealing with stabilizers. Usually premium because my bike won't run properly on 87.

I’ve got 15 gallons of diesel at the farm. 15 gallons of gas. But that’s normal for me for the tools and tractors

I was going to ask this too. Historically, I stored 5-7 gallons in gas cans for emergencies but I don't know what my insurance would say about that. I'm curious how much people are comfortable storing in their garage. I always treated mine with fuel stabalizer and would write the date on there and replace it once a year.

So, without being either an expert or knowing your final goal. I can tell you when I replaced my head unit and speakers I just used all the existing wiring. I did purchase crutchfields pre spliced harness though, reduces too much workload not too. And I while I upgraded speakers slightly I didn't do anything that required extra power.

Which amp do you have. The one in the rear or under the radio?

I keep my gas cans in the garage, they keep nice and cool. Not worried about them.

I usually keep 10-15 gallons of gas on hand for yard equipment/ toys.
FIL has 100 gal non ethanol gas and 100 gal diesel for the farm.

I don't think any insurance agent could argue someone having 1 or 2 5-gallon gas cans full on hand. Obviously don't store it inside a window for the sun to mess with it. I have a set of bedside boxes I got free that make very nice 'fireproof' wall storage boxes for flammables.
It would make sense to mount a fire extinguisher above your fuel that any burning fuel would cause the extinguisher to burst & possibly put out the fire. A shot in the dark with no down side.

    Just installing an aftermarket HU.
I’ll do speakers later if I find them wanting.

    OE Panasonic under backseat.

The harnesses are all modular. I’ve removed the harness from dash to amp (and all the furniture) and will modify the harness to suit my needs without rewiring the whole truck.

Here’s where I’m at right now.
Need to mock up the new harness, then I’ll get into steam-cleaning the carpet and seats and mats and door panels and likely myself.
