My local gas station says $0.00 right now since they are completely out. They are expecting a partial delivery of 1,500 gallons..

It will most likely, BUT gas prices are going to steadily increase for a while.. not so much from this but other goings on in the world

The last I heard this summer will hang out around 3.50. It seems like it has been a long time since it was that high.

I have a odd feeling we’ll see the 4 dollar mark here by the end of July. Hope I’m wrong. But we’ll see it’s $2.90 right now

Good morning! My searching here and throughout the interwebs for how to remove the entire dash of a 00-02 first 1st Gen Tundra have not been fruitful. Neither has review of the always detailed and eventually famous Chronological thread. But I know much of the work y’all have done has required removing the dash. I know how to do the central piece that surrounds the radio, but haven’t figured out the wide swath below.

Please post how, or link me to where it’s already posted. (Please forgive me, I’m going to double post on the Other Thread in hopes of speeding the response that moves me forward.)

Thank you in advance, Tundra Affictionados!

Might be worth skimming his build thread. Which is on TW as it pre-dates Tundras.com

I guess I am, though technically the progression went from 2000 Tacoma -> 2002 Tundra -> 2016 Tacoma so I feel like my 8 ish years with the Tundra outweigh 3 ish years with the two Tacomas. I must admit, I feel a bit bipolar on the subject.

Story in my profile if you're noticing that the math doesn't add up, I just don't want to keep boring people with it. Hoping to be a first class member again someday and in the meantime trying to learn as much as I can so I'm ready and especially so I don't make mistakes.

I’m adventurous. I’d like to see how it’s put together. Too much trouble and I’ll just toss it.

I'd for sure replace it, especially if it was previously exposed to weather, given how cheap they are. Back in the day I did a shark fin on top (this was a 2006 Corolla with the stubby soft FM antenna). These days you might be able to get a salvage fin from current Tacoma or Tundra and look legit.

This is going to require the pencil soldering iron at work to fix. I didn’t know it was going to be an active hybrid circuit antenna. I’ll have to come up with an alternate stress relief to replace the moulded one though.

edit: Looks like more of a passive lumped element than an active hybrid. The wire is just simple coax, not twinax.

Smooth. Sounds the same with the OEM Exhaust connecting, but with a little Rumble sound thats slightly different. Its still very quiet which I like.

Stoked on a little extra torque its giving.
