Installed the front runner bars on the Diamondback. Was a little nerve wracking drilling holes on the cover, but I probably overdid the silicone to seal it up. Tried to mount my j hook kayak holders but the bolts are too short, so I’ve got to run out tomorrow.

20210514_195040.jpg Just gave my girl a bath. Hoping to go on vacation tomorrow. We had planned on riding the entire Blueridge Parkway. So i need some honest answers about gas towards Roanoke and surrounding areas. If anyone could help me it would be greatly appreciated.

Looks like the screw pulled through the rubber because the screw is next to the hole. Yet it is not worn down. That may only be a little screw that did not penetrate.

Thanks guys. So if I hit the cargo light I assume I end up with two operating options? 1. They can be manually turned on with the cargo light switch. 2. They turn on with the interior lights via key fob trigger.

What skid plates are those and what difficulties did you encounter installing them? Reason I ask is because I just got both cats stolen from my truck last night. So I’m in the market now for some skids that’ll make it harder to steal my cats next time they come looking.

Hitting the positive wire in the drivers side gutter/wire track that feeds the cargo light, yes, you should get those two things.

I’m thinking - going off memory here - that you should be able to trace it to one of the junction connectors (using the EWDs) in the drivers side kick plate. From there, it should be easy to access the side of the connector heading to the rear.

I just had the first oil change done at 2900 miles and the tires rotated, I'm taking a 400 mile trip, hauling my 16' tandem axle utility trailer plus the bed full of our stuff tomorrow am. This is exactly what I bought the Tundra for. I wish I would have gotten to the tranny cooler purchase and install prior, but oh well it wasn't meant to be. If I see the temps climbing too much, I will raise the priority of buying and installing the kit. That or I will use it as an excuse to get new a new twin turbo 22' Tundra when they come out. After this one, I will only have 10 more of these 800 mile round trip weekend runs to do.

Are the tunes out for the 2021's or is the tune a specific TRD supercharger thing?

Don't have a picture and I'm away from my truck for a bit. Since wire colours have known to change from year to year don't know how much of a help it would be either. The bundle of wires is very easy to access, just pull off the kickplate on the sill and unwrap the tape around the bundle. One of them will be for cargo lights - I found the colour for the 2016 in a thread about bed lights I believe.

No worries. I am going through the wiring diagrams @RainMan_PNW has for download to see if I can figure out where this wire hits one of the connectors in the driver footwell.

Valhalla's skid plates. Classy63 on here sells them. And just working in small areas. It's a pain in the butt to tighten them other then that pretty simple.
