What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

Here’s a pic for you. The insets are 3.75” in diameter. Big enough for my Hydro Flask and my cheap Chinese GREATNESS LINE knockoff Yeti tumbler. Hard to call these spots cupholders because you can still easily knock a cup over. But they provide a nice bright target for my kids to set their drinks where they won’t slide off the edge of the tailgate like they often do.

 

Just finished installing a Pop N Lock on my 2017 SR5. None of the wiring diagrams I found were accurate. All called for me to attach the pop n lock wires to wire colors that did not exist on my truck.

The posts I found about this install had photos consistently showing hooking up to the bottom right most wire and bottom left most wire of the lowest blue connector on the passenger side. So I disregarded the colors and went by position. Initially it came out opposite, with the tailgate locking when I unlocked the doors. A quick swap of the wires and now it works!

Hopefully this concept will work for others of all model years.

 

Washed mine today and installed the Softopper.

 

Does the bug deflector interfere with airflow to the hood scoop?

 

Casey, I'm confused. Why is this a concern? The hood scoop doesn't go to the engine, its just for show like the opening in the hood bulge.

I didn't trust the wire colors due to all the people reporting on this forum that they were wrong. So I used the wiring diagrams that @RainMan_PNW posted to identify the pins on the connector. The colors worked out to be accurate in the Pop n Lock instructions I received with my kit.

 

Yeah - been there in April, May, July, and August. 113 in the shade. Oof

 

Got my black lug nuts installed this evening. I know some have questioned the integrity of the coating on the lug nuts. They passed the install test and the visual test. Now to see how they hold up.



Excuse the "dirty" wheels. I've been trying to test out the integrity of the Plasti Dip and paint on every dirt road I can find. That's my excuse to dirt road anyways.

Katzkin. They are unreal!! I designed them. They sent me back a digital image. I approved. They sent them to an installer and had them installed in one day. They are so soft you’d think they were out of a Mercedes! And the unreal part is it only cost $2,400 for the entire truck!! I was thinking it would cost 5k for what I wanted. Cat Plates went on today. What a pain in the butt that install was. Gotta fine tune it in the morning to make sure everything secured nicely since I ran out of day light.
