Hey all, new to the forum. I have a 2010 Platinum Tundra and my instrument panel and dash lights along with the clock and climate control lights will be on but once I turn the lights on or put it in auto for lights they all go dark. Does anyone have an idea what might cause this or a solution? I have already check the under dash fuse and it was good

Your dash lights are supposed to darken when you turn your headlights on. There should be a "roller wheel" to control console brightness to the lower left of the steering wheel.

Yes I have already checked that and have it rolled up to 5 and that does not do anything

Roll it down just a bit. All the way up is sometimes the "off" position.

Any chance you were changing the angle of your headlights by rolling it up to 5? I don’t remember my dash dimmer having numbers associated with it. Look for another rolling dial nearby.

No that is the one, and I tried all the positions on the dial and nothing happened

The one for the dash lights isn’t a dial with positions and numbers. That’s the headlights.

Yes I apologize you are correct! For some reason I missed that . Going to take it to work in the morning and see if that was the issue. It is not my everyday driver

Checked this morning and they are fine, cleaned the inside last week and must have hit the dimmer while I was wiping down the dash!

Anybody who hasn’t had one of those moments is a liar.
