My Tundra (small 4. engine) starts great. Then it immediately stops. I've had the alternator checked at two places. Both say it's good. ANY SUGGESTIONS? I use my truck for work. Hate to lose it. It's got 200,000 miles, but for a Toyota, it's just getting started.

What happens if you immediately restart it? Do you have to wait a while before it'll try to restart, or does it start and die if you try right after it dies? I'd check the fuel pump and filter first.

Have you checked your throttle body? If it’s dirty give it a good clean up.

    I agree with @Randy Morton.
check fuel pressure and make sure it falls in the correct range.
Start and stall is one symptom of week fuel pressure

Our 2014 Tundra with about 100,000 miles just stopped while driving down the road. Thought it was the fuel pump which the mechanic replaced. Truck ran for about 5 minutes and cut off again. The dealer replaced the ECU (electronic control unit), a computer board for the fuel pump. We have the tow package. ECU = $900 repair plus the $800 fuel pump that we probably didn’t need. Anyone else having problems like this?

This is the 1st gen (2000-2006) Tundra subforum. You may want to ask in the 2.5 gen forum: https://www.tundras.com/forums/2-5-gen-tundra-parts-marketplace-2014-2021.29/

Create a new thread over there, I guess?

If it starts ok when you turn the key to "Start" but stops as soon as you return the key to "On" I would suspect the ignition switch.
