Listening to a country channel on Spotify and the frogs in the lake. Using the star gazing apps with the kids. Pretty amazing chit. I’d much rather talk about light pollution than what the truck belched on the drive over.

It has been a while since I went after the tequila, but I feel like my ratios are off…8322A57E-CEF8-42A2-9CA7-46290F23DB66.jpg

Heading to Stub Stewart State park for a couple nights later this month. Only about 40 minutes from home so it makes a good shake down trip with the new trailer. If something goes really wrong I can get home for more tools or just bag it and limp home.

Heading to the coast for a few nights in June, back to SS after the 4th, then to the Gorge late July, and then up to Ft. Stevens in August. We’ll book a few more weekend trips in the fall before winterizing it for storage. My wife is the official planner of the trips and has wanted a trailer for a few years. It worked out for me because I needed a tow rig for a trailer, hence the new Tundra.

Sounds like a good time. I hope you can get to all of those places. Reservations disappear quick at the popular locations.

Figured I’d check in here before posting other places. See if anyone is looking for a warn winch in Oregon or Washington. I have a M12000 and a 16.5ti both like new and complete. I’m close to the Portland OR area. Asking $1200 for the M12000 and $1750 for the 16.5ti.
PM me if you’re interested in either. Local meet up/pick up. I have more pictures if needed. Thanks.

Happy Friday peeps! You guys have any big plans?

We are just laying low and doing house chores. We got our second vaccination on Wednesday and left the weekend open in case we needed more recovery time. Yesterday was a bit rough, but we are all on the mend today. I’ve got a long list of small projects to finish on the trailer and a garage to clean.

Oh yeah, it is Mothers Day weekend. Spoiling the wife on Sunday.

PSA: I had to restock my wardrobe for a meeting in a few weeks. If you are needing new suits, stuff at the Mens Wearhouse is dirt cheap right now.

Going to catch up on house chores myself. Weather won’t be as nice but have to get the lawn mowed at some point. Also, have to make sure the wife is recognized on Sunday.

Sounds like you are past the worst part of the second shot. I got my second last Wednesday and it wiped me out for all of Thursday.

Home chores here too, if the weather cooperates. My outer lawn is a good 10" tall or more right now, so hoping it's dry enough to mow at some point. Will be picking wife up from airport Saturday evening, Sunday will probably be a trip to Portland to buy some plants (she wants to add some mulberries) and then over to some friends for a big Mother's Day dinner.

Glad you guys are on the mend. 2nd dose knocked me out for a solid day.

House chores, meetings with contractors, and smoking some dinosaur ribs and jalapeño poppers.

Yesterday mowed the grass, trimmed it, over seeded it, spread a little Scott’s lawn soil and watered it in for a couple minutes. Then it started raining. Almost like I planned that.

    Back to work tomorrow.

Put me down for some house chores and spoiling my wife too.
Gotta get the tractor/mower running, my lower field is getting out of hand.
Also going to start ripping up some yard for a fire pit.
Has anyone installed a paver patio?

Nope, but looking into doing it myself. Currently it's just a fire pit in the yard. I want to relocate it and put some pavers down.

Right! It looks do able. Just need a compactor to pack the sand. Seems like a pain in the ass with just one person though.

Yeah, a plate compactor looks like the way to go for the sub grade and the final sand grouting.

I've done a couple with friends. Don't skimp on the base layer of gravel - that provides your drainage and the real support...it's the most critical to get compacted well. Good sand doesn't compact much really, because of small grains and not much room for air. But it is way easier to actually strike off level to bed the pavers in.

I’m having one of those days where everything I see/do goes to chit. So I’m gonna sit here and just wait for the next storm to find me.

Incline is good. I like Two Towns a lot - especially the “Outcider” but I can never find it around here anymore. Also the Bad Apple they make is good.
I wish more cider companies would try to go sulfite free though…the few that are out there are incredible.
