That's like forgoing a shower to help with the California draught. You're not making a bit of difference, except pretending you're principled.

Let’s agree to disagree  and yes, I am principled on this subject. No pretending necessary!

Sounds like the shortage is hitting Georgia, Virginia, and North Carolina hard.

Premium (91) here in Sacramento is right at $4/gal at the local Costco.

I've got two 5gal gas cans that i've had full to the brim for about 1.5years (kept in the garage) that i treated with the proper amount of sta-bil.....Not sure what the life is like on that stuff. Kept it mainly for the generators when we go camping, but might need to use it and get some fresh in there.

Apparently the flow is very slow on the pipeline, takes 15 days to flow the full length. Heard it could take weeks to get back to normal even if fully operational this weekend.

We have a Suncor refinery in Denver that handles 98,000 barrels per day. Hard to not notice it. One of our calibration clients. Not to mention the Sinclair refinery just up north in Wyoming that handles close to 90,000 barrels per day. Another calibration client. Wyoming has 5 refineries. Totally different pipe delivery system. A major fuel farm for Denver is just down the street. Much of it piped down from Wyoming. We have a Magellan owned and operated petroleum pipeline that passes underground just outside the back of our building. There will prolly be another stupid TP hoard though.....

Great, just GREAT! Give those Tesla driving assholes a reason to be even more smug than they already are!

:tinfoilhat: Interesting how we were warned of a pandemic, then BOOM! Pandemic. Just a couple weeks ago the media was warning of fuel shortages and BOOM! Hack generated fuel shortage. Coincidence? Inflation and housing / stock market bubble warnings have been in the news more recently. Supposedly more electricity blackouts coming to Texas this summer. Better buckle up... :(

The pipeline, by all accounts, should be operational by the weekend. Whether that translates to fuel at the pumps just yet is another story. I'd guess there will be at least a couple of day lag. NC hit hard all the way back in Raleigh and points west. If you're driving the Tundra, you might want to bring a Jerry can or 20. It'd be a tank just to get across NC.

I would carry some tanks. The OBX is sparse on gas stations and odds are they my be low or out.

That’s interesting. Ever since yesterday I’ve repeatedly been asking and it always comes back with “I do not know when this is”. However it does give the date for Labor Day.

not to get too against the rules here, but pointing out as a matter of fact, auto correct on Ios will capitalize words of certain religions/nations but not others. Coincidence? Probably not but i wont take a position on right/wrong here. It is interesting what siri knows sometimes

I wonder if it made it home, depending on the plastic, the gasoline could "melt" through those bags, or at the very least, weaken them.

No gas from Border Station to OBX. Luckily I work in VA, and WAWA has gas:D. Horders need to be Bitch Slapped, that's part of the reason why we're in this situation. You can guess who the other entity is :cool:Be safe out there:thumbsup:
