Will the Bully Dog work with the Tundra?

I have a 2008 Toyota Tundra and live in California. I am guessing the Tundra is a California vehicle. Will the Bully Dog programmer work with this vehicle? Or is there a special one needed? Thanks in advance.

 

They're technically illegal for use in CA, but they will work.

 

Thanks. That's what I was thinking and what I was hoping for. Did you notice that it improved throttle sensitivity?

 

I don't have one, but know folks here in CA who use them. By "improve" you mean desensitize? The throttle on the early 2nd gens is already pretty sensitive (I kind of like it). But as to your question, I don't know.

 

I guess that I'm hoping the throttle won't be quite so jerky. It is kind of all or nothing. So I'm hoping to make it less sensitive. I have cleaned the injectors and throttle body. Then I reset the computer. It was doing great. Now though it just launches unless it is barely pushed. I have to have a really light foot or hold on for dear life. I have to really feather it per say. Thanks for your help though.

 

So I was just reading in another thread that the BD does have a way to dampen the throttle. Just google 'bully dog tundra throttle sensitivity.' My other car is a corvette, so whenever my Tundra starts feeling a little froggy, I drive that, and it cures the urge.

 

What year Vette do you got?

 

Bulludog does indeed make the throttle however you want it to feel. Totally custom.
