Thanks for the offer, it's really that I keep running them over with the truck. The previous owner also did some questionable "fixes" that I am slowly finding as they fail. I also had very high water pressure that wasn't helping either, but that has been fixed now.

It’s never fun dealing with hack work but getting your water pressure under control I’m sure helped a lot

A properly set head should be able to survive getting run over :boink:

That's actually a good point, I should be installing 2" heads instead of 4" so I can sink them a little further and let the dirt take most of the weight.

Funny you say that because over the last 4-5 months I had to raise about 20 sprinkler heads in our yard. We originally had Bermuda grass which is maintained about 1" tall. Over the years is was overtook by St Augustine which I mow to 3.5" Sprinklers just were not popping up high enough. One of them is at the corner of our driveway and sidewalk, and if I am not careful with my Tundra, I drive right over it when turning into the driveway.

Restaurants so under staffed that service calls are placed and getting billed at $90+ an hour to find the reason they can't push fryers back together to be something like this.

And at the major intersection nearest that place you'll find some able bodied beggar with a sign and a story about how tough it is out there. Drove to a site today and saw it at the off ramp, guy was workng his sign and just behind him was several fast food joints that were using their marquees to beg for help, the Wendy's had a $500 signing bonus!

That "able bodied" guy might have mental illness or something else that prevents from holding a job. I'm definitely not advocating begging on a street corner but things aren't always as obvious as they seem.

Went into lunch at a local place, gas station across the street had 2.89. When I came out it was 3.09
    Assholes...

Is there a tread about the Colonial Pipeline hack? I'm seeing lines at gas stations all over the place today.

What makes me additionally angry is that we have a work printer that runs out of paper on a daily basis, and we could go through a ream of paper within 12 hours, and the supervisor will split the ream of paper in half, knowing it wont last, and will sit there and bitch about how the printer ran out of paper again. We run a 24hr operation and its not like some cogs are just going to stop all of a sudden, just because he only uses a half a ream of paper.

Office 365 is such a scam.

I have always liked how it is pre-installed on just about every computer but isn't activated unless you pay for it. They don't have a problem taking up space while being useless. On my last laptop I got the whole package for $9 through my office instead.

I usually don't tip on to-go orders but changed my policy for COVID. Now that everything is opening back up in a month or so, I may dial that back.

I happened to read this thread again and came up with another one.
For me, a love / hate relationship.
I have a 24 year old Harley FLSTF that I love dearly. I do all the maintenance on her from day one.
Way back I stuffed a 127 cu. in engine in her in replacement of the 80 inch that came with her.
Well, after a number of years that huge motor starts taking it's toll on everything else on that bike.
I'm always fixing something or tightening something to keep her rubber on the road.
At my age it's killer bending over for extended amounts of time even with a lift that I use.
I'm feeling it for another day after working on her and dread it when I have to do some major work.
    Still, I do it.

It's always offered at my place.. like offering a beer. Cell service isn't great in a brick house and it can be frustrating when you need to use there internet and it isn't working.

Depends on the situation and the person. I don't begrudge anyone for "making it", and I certainly don't expect a successful parent to tell his/her kids to go pound sand either. Most people would want to set up their kids/family/friends for success if they had the means to do so.

The problem lies in how the recipient handles the gift. Kids who are smart enough to realize the opportunity given them and work at it to learn and stay successful, great for them! It's the shitheads who squander and waste the opportunity because they are worthless, lazy, entitled leaches (and because mommy/daddy let them) that bother me.
