What have you done to your 2.5 gen Tundra today?

What paint/prep did you use. I'm looking to do the same, but wasn't sure. It looks really good. Any plans to do the grill/surround as well?

Today was a big day fellas. I got my ARE topper color matched by my friend and installed.

I am super happy with it.

Next will be wiring the third brake light, interior LED and sealing up the tailgate.

I also have been reading a lot about bed storage on here. After we got the topper on I went to Sportsman's Warehouse and used part of my gift card to pick up a Plano 108qt for my gear and tools.

 

I checked the @SCSPerformance website and was very shocked when I saw that they had 4 18x9 Ray 10s in Matte Gunmetal ... so I bought them.

 

yes just ran out of paint.
used dupli color plastic paint adhesion, era paints... base color and x2 clear

 

just degreased it. then plastic paint adhesion

 

I installed the Extang Xceed hardcover yesterday. It went on easy enough and had a nice low profile look. I had the older version (2.0) on a third-generation Tacoma and it was great. This one seems to be built a little better with an easier opening/closing system.

Just rolled the 5000 thousand mile mark and had the first service done today. Checked and tightened lift and tire rotation.

can see a little difference in pic but in person J would never know

I wish you luck with paint over chrome Jack. A buddy of mine owns a paint shop and he painted my chrome bulge and surround, degreasing, surface etching, adhesion promoter, four coats of base, and four coats of clear. I thought that would be plenty, but as soon as a small pebble/rock/debris hit, the chrome would shine right through. Finally ended up buying matched bulge and surround from Sparks.

 

Swapped out my window visors to AVS and finally received my dirty deeds 10in exhaust. Gotta say today was a good day

Man, it's been a month since I ordered them but its well worth the wait getting them from Tyler at Valhalla Shields. Hopefully my 1/4" in aluminum plates will be in this Sunday / Monday. I was going to paint them but I think I'll just go ahead an install them as they are. I will put some extra bolts on them to make it look like too much work for thieves to use tools.

 

Set up my AJT v2 color matched key fob case and my tail gate inlays arrived, which will go on tomorrow along with my driver side grab handle and wireless charging tray for the center console.
Currently searching for ceramic tint options as I want 15% all the way around and 70% on the windshield

 

I was so pissed, I didnt see their post and OF COURSE they are already sold out

 

Got the trans and engine skids done today.

@AverageJoe - Thanks man! I can wait to get rid of all that chrome! I also just ordered a AJT v2 shifter, black interior door handles and the dual climate knobs since I accidently ordered the 3 knob kit from AJT

Huge shout out to @Jimes for his writeup on how to do the Pinch Weld Mod. New 35s were rubbing when tucked but they should clear no problem now.
