Most tonneau covers when purchased ask if you have factory rails installed and will ship the clamps that slide into the rails at the factory locations.

If I told my wife I was buying bumpers I think she'd tell me to start sleeping in the truck. :pout:
    Maybe next year.
But I did get my ESP box installed last night.

Thanks man! I love it. The color is 10x better looking in person - it's such a unique shade and I'm so glad I went this direction instead of MGM. My dealership forgot to put the temp tag on the truck before my shipper picked it up, so I currently have a very expensive piece of driveway art sitting out there. Tag should be here tomorrow, so I'll be able to romp around this weekend and give better feedback.

I would like to add one in my Pro but it would not work out with putting our 2 Akitas in there. I wonder if anyone has the storage box in there crewmax and still able to put there dogs in there also.

So after much internal debate, I opted not to pick up a cement grey SR5 tomorrow, and instead I've started the wait for a Lunar Rock TRDPro Double Cab. It's the truck I really wanted from the get-go, and I'd always feel like I settled with the SR5. Realistically, they may stop making them before I get one, but I'm going to try anyway. I have noticed that they're building a bunch of them right now, both through Autotrader searches and comments on this forum, so maybe just maybe they'll make a bunch of these before they switch over to the 2022's and I'll get lucky.

Until the day I get the call, I'll live vicariously through you all.

Ha! I did take it on its inaugural $100 trip to the gas station yesterday. Window sticker, etc. was still on it. Almost doubled the miles on it from 4 to 7 haha

I think the Bakflip MX4 is either a “no rails” install or “drop the rails” install

If there is a way to install an MX4 with the bed rails in the factory location please please let me know

How was the ESP long box install? I’ll be doing this. Seems straightforward.....any tips or tricks?

just posted it in my build thread.
Follow the directions...they were well written. Have a sharp razor knife and a couple extra blades - the felt backing on the carpet made the cutting harder than I though it would be. We did have to shim the outer (driver's side) seat rail (the one that sits on top of the carpet) with a couple of washers to raise the front up just a little for the latch to work on that side - the seat was coming down onto the lid of the box just a little otherwise.

I still need to trim the carpet cut-out piece to put back into the bottom of the storage box, and then start figuring out how I want to organize everything now.

No - it's only like 3-5/8" deep or something like that.

When doing a VIN search on Toyota’s site the VIN will come up as INVALID once the truck is in build status......like clockwork

It is because the VIN you have is a placeholder VIN and once the truck is actually built the placeholder VIN is no longer valid, but you don't know/have the new "real" VIN yet. If I recall, it was a specific character/designator that the character/number changes on.

Oh ok, I see. My dealer never gave me a temporary VIN, just the VIN after it was built. Thanks, fellas.

The last 8 trucks I've seen where the VIN disappeared was because they sold the truck to someone else for more.

I see you have the Nitto Ridge Grapplers on your Tundra. How do you like them?

I had Ridge Grapplers I replaced them with Toyo AT3
Loved the look of the grapplers but they became loud once I got to about 30k miles
