Hey guys. I’ve been toying with the idea of removing my TRD decals for a little while, and finally decided to jump in with both feet. After doing some research, and talking with a buddy of mine who does a lot of detail work, here’s the easiest solution out there! I made a poorly edited video of the process. https://youtu.be/zQHwrrdAPts

I just used a hair dryer to warm it up and it peeled right off.

I personally would be afraid to mess up my clear coat.

    Good job.

I tried that at first, and it was terrible! My decals are a few years old on my 2018 at this point, and maybe they’re baked on with a little age.

Probably, mine was a few months old.
    Your removal came out great.

Peeled off the SX stickers from the bed sides. Tyger running boards. Softopper
I used a hair dryer to remove the SX decals from my new Tundra. It was easier than I expected it to be.

Used this to take the pinstripe off my 4runner. Worked like a charm. I'm hoping I can hair dryer method my TRD stickers though.

It seems as though the age of the decals is really the biggest factor for being able to “just peel them off” as this wasn’t an option on my truck. I tried that first and it was a mess!

Those erasers are great. I use them on all my vehicles. Just be carful you don't hold it one spot and burn the paint. Sorry if you pointed it out in the vid. I didn't need to watch it since I remove every badge on every car own.

Just removed one of the TRD decals on my 2023 Tundra using a heat gun and plastic putty knife and it was rough. In spite of being only a month old the glue was very difficult to get off even using a heat gun. The plastic artwork peeled right off and left a thick white layer which took quite some time to remove. I ordered the tool mentioned above, but am not sure I'm going to use it as I'm worried about the clear coat like some of the others mentioned.

Aren't you guys worried about the 10hp loss without the stickers?

    Thread back from the dead!

Thanks to this forum I found the eraser wheel and removed my 9 year old TSS sticker. It also removed with the sticky residue which is awesome. The sticker has been on the truck for so long after removing it I can still see the TSS logo like it's lightly etched on there from factory. I removed the sticker due to the color was fading on the letters otherwise I would've kept the sticker on. Ebay/Amazon TSS stickers doesn't look like the same OEM sticker to me so I opted not to replace it with those stickers.

After 9 years of owning this truck I am going to start giving it a "face lift." This forum have all the info I need on what I want to do with my truck... happy modding everyone!
