that is higher than I have seen around here but it’s has gone up from around 18 dollars to mid 40 and maybe above.

It is insane. We basically got told if we wanted to build we needed to ensure we had 30 grand extra for lumber and they wouldn’t agree on a contracted price.

Filled kids bike tires with air, got the lawn mower running and built a new gate for our back fence. For the first time in a long time I got everything done I was planning to.

Did use my oscillating saw from Harbor Freight to cut a fence picket down the middle. Worked amazing. The BAUER not Chicago Pneumatic.

My lakehouse remodel project is completed. My painters got the new fireplace mantels stained to match the timber trusses. It’s such a cool property and I’m sure it’s going to be enjoyed.

The master bathroom with his and her vanities and toilets came together nicely after all the trim work details were done.

Thank you! This was all my clients choice for a tile pattern. Every time I look at this shower I start to feel vertigo.

Holy crap, you are right. Looking at it from far it looks amazing, but i could see what you mean about throwing you off when in the shower room....i still like the tile though.

Lol. I suggested they use it for an accent wall or a small area and not the whole shower. They said they wanted the whole shower done with it and this is the dizzying results. At $60 per square foot for the tile material it’s an expensive decision to have made.

Yes sir. They are very nice but the steam unit can get expensive. You also need to make sure you have a very well thought out exhaust fan and a high quality paint in the bathroom.

Thanks. We've gotten to do a lot of unique projects over the years. And yes, my nickname is a hat-tip to the Dustin Hoffman movie, because several coworkers accuse me of being "Rainman."

Maybe a touch high due to your location, but not too far. It's crazy right now - and the "residential" materials seem to have jumped a lot higher than we see on industrial materials.

Amazing. I honestly don't think I'd have the patience to deal with the level of fit and finish it takes to pull off some of those places. But then, I imagine your budgets are a bit bigger than the average house too.

    Not sure at this point.
Quick question: There's a gap between the durock board and tub flange. Am I suppose to caulk this with silicone? I'm seeing a video where the guy added mesh tape between the board and the flange, then thinset the gap. What's the best way?

If I run into that, I usually mesh tape/thinset the gap, then redgard over that spot as per the rest of the hardibacker.

The thinset can scratch the tub if agitated too much. I just mask it off. I never let the thinset or grout rub the tub.

I started painting my basement reno using my new Graco 360. That thing is amazing. I primed all of my ductwork (took a quart of paint) in less than 10 minutes.
