Thanks! I'm an old, short guy, so not sure how much faster it makes me, but you can't deny the bike looks cleaner, and it couldn't be more comfortable, even for an ultra endurance/climber guy like me.

 

Any recommendations on a Interior LED light upgrade brand or kit?

 

Lots of people swear by VLEDS, but $$$.

quick question about the factory/port spray bedliner

I’ve seen some pics of ppl taking off the bed rails to install caps/covers and there’s no liner sprayed behind the rails. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

Thanks man! Started this search in like Sept-Oct 20, put an allocation deposit down 11/28, truck was built 4/6, dealership 4/23, delivered to me 5/5. All worth it, but I'm not sure I'd go through all that again lol.

Yes indeed! Boring stuff like tint, PPF, and ceramic are already on the calendar. Steps and tonneau are likely going to be the first quasi-fun bits. We'll see what happens from there.

 

Literally just looked at mine. Doesn't look like it's sprayed behind the rails. Was port-installed.

I have to drop the rails to accommodate a Bakflip MX4 tonneau cover.

Not only did you hijack, I now have the same concerns and am trying to figure out what to do when I have to lower the rails for a tonneau! haha

I did some research and found a hard folding cover made by Lomax that connects to the bed rail system in the factory location. I was able to order the clamps that slide into the bed rails to secure the cover.

(They call it a HALF CLAMP)

They look like they should work (little bit of a gamble)

The rail might have to be cut/modified to allow the tonneau sections to “clip in”.

Now I just need the truck....haha

Yes.....if all goes well the rails in the factory position will allow for some more mod ideas of mine

 

I just installed the BAKflip Mx4 and it looks good. Installation wasn’t hard but I’d allocate 2-3 hours since you have to drop down the bed rails. My kit was missing a screw for the strap clip, one of the hand tightening mechanism wasn’t threaded correctly, the clamps start out even but as you tightened they start to pop outward. Would hold better with a nice even grab in the splines. Lastly the corner near the passenger side was broken off. I had to open a ticket with them today and waiting for instructions.

 

are you planning to get it anytime soon? I would like to buy your front bumper caps if so
