I wanna do it on my 2011 too. However, I don't want to lose the steering wheel controls. I know that, the volume up down, track up down, and mode buttons can be worked with something like PAC. How about the phone buttons? If some device can make it work with pioneer that would be great. Anyone?

    Thanks.

I don't mind the stock head unit, well, except for the horrible sound. That pioneer looks great though.

Following, I've been wanting to do this too. I'm also worried about the controls and the rear view camera. How difficult is it to re-route the camera wire to the center console?

That is on a 3rd gen, which shows the rear view camera in the dash, so for 3rd gens it should be cake.

I had the dealership install a Pioneer AVIC5100NEX in my 2014 tundra. It is a SR5 and did not have navigation. the 5100 is what they installed and all of the steering wheel controls work perfectly fine, the back up camera works great. The Apple CarPlay is pretty cool and I espceialluy like being able to watch DVDs in the truck now. As far as sound quality, I don't know what the stock 2014 tundra sounds like, but I had a 2013 before this one and the AVIC5100NEX sounds 10 times better. I am happy with the installment. I wanted the 8100 so I could have the 7 inch screen but the 6.2 inch screen on the 5100 is just fine.

Nice! Does your backup camera work with this?

Very nice, I will be looking at the $400-500 Kenwoods or maybe JVC which joined kenwood a while ago.

Does this mean the custom vehicle settings that you usually manage with the stock HU too?
