I like P&S Paint Gloss as a good quick detailer. I have also been using Gtechniq C2v3 instead of Bead Maker for a Sealant/Drying Aid. C2v3 is a little more $, but you don't need as much and lasts longer.

Does the P&S Paint Gloss need to be buffed after initial wipe down?

What's weird is I called my local dealership and they told me this company is who they use when they paint parts, thats why I called them. I'll call again and see how much it would be to go through the dealer.

It's $150 for a new pair. I would ask them to quote you on just painting a new pair and you handle the removal and replacement.

    Edit:

If I'm adding it correctly it should be

    $150 parts
$350 painting (based on there numbers)

Check with Sparks Parts and see if they’ll give you a quote on painted ones. They do it on mirror caps and other parts, don’t see why they won’t do these.

If not, just get new ones and get some estimates from a few local shops. I paid 100 bucks to have mirror caps painted. These are about the same size, so I don’t see why you can’t find something similar. That’d be $250+tax and shipping all in.

When looking on sparks website they don't offer them painted so ill have to call for a special quote. Looked on ebay and there are some painted black already but I've always been weary of ebay.

You can use the message feature on Spark’s site. They usually respond pretty quickly.

Went thorough some bottles of Dr Beasley’s today. The product was easy to use and did a fair job of cleaning film like crap off.

So I just starting going down the detailing rabbit hole about 6 months ago and with plenty of research and speaking with the gurus from this forum I think I have my kit dialed in. Big thanks to @Swfltoyomafia @Ckatz53 and @War Machine for answering questions and giving their honest options.

My kit is as followed along with a bunch of microfiber towels
    20210504_171754.jpg
And it all fits nicely in one of those black tots with the yellow lids.

Its okay. I'm actually considering trying the Griot's Garage glass cleaning kit. Not sure if anyone has any experience with it. Screenshot_20210504-184924_Chrome.jpg

I've used their glass polish but not the full kit. Good for getting very minor etching and defects out of glass. Be mindful of how hot you get the glass if you use this.

Not meaning to be a smart a... , but after a weekend boot camp, one thing I learned was I had to double my towel inventory. I’m pretty sure I am responsible for most of the surface scratches on my truck. I would not have come to this conclusion on my own, no Einstein in my lineage.

I have the griots glass kit and have been happy with the polish but to tell ya the truth rainX works better then the sealant. I actually think liquid bar keepers friend and a scotch bright pad followed by invisible glass and lastly rainX is the best I’ve come up with.

I’ve used the polish and pads with good success. Their glass clay works well also. Haven’t tried the sealant, or actually any dedicated glass sealant. I generally use Hydro2 or Powerlock on glass.
Like @Swfltoyomafia said though, Barkeeper’s Friend cleans glass better than any of it. Just have to be careful and keep it off the paint.

If I were to give one piece of detailing advice, it’s that you can never have too many towels. No towel surface ever touches my paint twice in one wash. Wipe, flip, repeat, over and over again.
If a towel touches the ground, it goes straight into my “shop rag/wheel/undercarriage” bin and never touches paint again.

Same here. It’s my go to for normal window cleaning when stronger products aren’t needed.
ONR or Eco-Shine also work great on glass. I keep a bottle of diluted Eco-Shine in the truck for light interior and window cleaning. Don’t like to keep metal aerosol cans in the truck, so Sprayway is only used when doing it at home.
