Thoughts on tires and wheels? Opinion Question

Hey everybody,

I'm going to be needing some new tires soon, and was thinking about tires too. The major tire and wheel people in my area have plenty of online presence, but I'm looking for some opinions.

I'm curious as to what people think is a good set up for the following:

2017 Tundra Crewmax Black, with a 3" lift.

Most of my driving is around town, with some towning and dirt roads on the weekend. We're looking at a 90% around town and 10% dirt and towing.

I'm looking at the Black Rhino Warlords for wheels, because I like the look. But, I'm looking for opinions on a tire that will fill the wheel well, and not look too anemic.

285/70/18 (34's) and 295/70/18 (34.9) are popular sizes.

Falken Wilpeaks, Cooper AT3, Nitto Ridge Grapplers are a few. Stay away from BF Goodrich.

 

The wheel size is what will make the tires look "anemic"

 

Planning on 20" in the BR Warlords.

 

Not into 20s but I like those wheels a lot.

• 20″ rims: 285/65 R20 – 4/10ths wider, 1.6″ taller than factory.
• 20″ rims: 305/60 R20 – 1.2 inches wider and 2.4″ taller than factory. There are Tundra owners running this size, but trimming is required (it’s a tight fit).

Largest you can run without BMC or other mods. Tire tread also matters, some tread will rub.

 

I think 20s will look anemic no matter what tire size you run but its in the eye of the beholder.
