(continued from above) section the section that houses the fog lights out (it looks separate anyway). Custom form a piece of 6" round pipe to follow the bumper curve and use that as a base for brush guard and winch mount. Paint to match truck. Just my two cents. The last thing, and I say this with all honesty, I would not trade my 1st gen Tundra for a 2020 Tundra. Not enough value in the swap. You have a great truck. Congrats.

Nice. I've been contemplating doing this as well mainly due to how old the original plastic is right now. My only reservation is dependability. I've installed projectors before in past project cars, and they tend to not last long from my experience, but then again that was about 10 years ago. Quality has probably gone up since then. Let us know how they hold up! Thanks

Looking really good. In Utah, can you shoot on just about any public land?

Pretty much yeah. There are certain areas that have winter grazing and are posted no shooting, but that doesn't seem to stop predator hunters and those places seem pretty few and far between. Basically the whole west desert with the exception of Indian land and some atv areas is open to shooting. The same goes for most wilderness areas in the east and south. I hear some states aren't like that. Seems strange to me, but this is the wild west.
We usually set up some targets out way away from everybody to avoid dumb people and trash. It's not uncommon to find nice areas with good backstops and 500-1,000yrds if you're willing to drive in a bit.

I need to get off this forum before my project car gets delayed to build the Tundra...

If it were even close to bolt-on I'd seriously consider selling it. It's been nice driving on rough roads with a good amount of comfort, but the back needs some serious attention to keep up.

LT keeps crossing my mind. but to make LT function well and still have a truck that can tow 7500 lbs would be difficult.

now that you mention bolt on it reminded me you did some extensive work to fit raptor shocks DOH

hey @KarmaKannon what fender flare is that? Love how it keeps the look of the factory trim lines where the flare is. It’s a little more subtle than a lot of the after market LT fenders. One reason I’ve never done it was because I didn’t want to look like I went full race truck on my daily.

    Welcome back!

I thought you already had some fiberglass fenders on the front at some point?

I love the way they look from every direction but the front haha. It is what it is. Maybe some day I'll change the whole thing and do something else. Right now my rear can't even come close to the front and until it does I won't be too concerned with screwing with the front much. I just need some new uniballs and to fab up a sway bar setup now.

Called deaver and they were reasonably helpful. They said the g57 pack wasn't designed for any payload and that I would need a custom pack. The custom pack would run me just under $1,000 with bushings. About the same price as archive garage deaver leafs but shipping should be considerably less from california and deaver directly. The one catch is that I was estimated 9 weeks to build them. I suppose I don't need them exactly right now anyway though. Archive has the medium duty in stock now.

Great work in here. Can't believe I haven't skimmed this build thread until now. In your first post you mention 3.5" wider on each side, is that still true all said and done?

Also curious how the retrofit headlights are holding up 1+ year after

Is that a custom upper shock mount I see? I zoomed in, but it's not entirely clear what I'm looking at.
